I ordered a 19' awning. I had a dealer install as I really didn't have anyone available to help install at the time. You must have 2 people to install. The awning fabric looks sturdy. All brackets are strong and excellent quality. I had a part on the roller tube bent possibly in packaging at the factory. I contacted the seller and they were really fast in getting back to me with a solution. They indicated I could bend the part out and use with no issues. They also said they would overnight the damaged part. I choose to have the dealer make adjustments to the part. It worked fine. The limit switch as it's rolling up to the stored position worked fine. The position after rolling the awning out to it's fullest position wouldn't set. I know to release the button so no really big deal. So far the awning is really much better than the original 22 year old one I replaced. The electric feature is somewhat slow but works fine. I think it will hold up a long time. Happy with the item and install. I saved over $1000 going this route as opposed to buying from Camping World who wanted $2600! ... show more

    • This is a good awning. Installation was pretty straightforward.

The awning is well constructed and solid. I had a slight shipping issue so that's the reason for deducting one star. I replaced the screws for the mounting rail with shorter ones. I also didn't find the main screws that hold the arms to the RV wall were very good. I used another type of self-drilling screw. The instructions weren't great but they were good enough to figure it out. I slid the awning into the groove on the wall first then installed on the roller. Also you should lube the awning and the dowels with something ( I used Super Slick Slick Stuff) . FOLLOW-UP: After I got this installed I proceeded to bend one of the arms. This was purely my fault. My trailer has a latch on the rear that swings more than 180 degrees around to the side of the trailer where the awning was mounted. I closed the awning while the latch was in the way. The motor must have some serious torque because the part that bend was pretty beefy. I contacted Awnlux and sent pictures of the damaged part. They did charge me for shipping the replacement, but the customer service was excellent and the new part got to me very quickly. I'm raising my rating to 5 stars in response to fantastic service. ... show more

Like others have mentioned the instructions are a bit rough. The video helps a little bit as well. But that being said I put it together on my lawn and got all my mounting measurements that way. It wasn’t bad at all once I unboxed everything. Pretty straightforward. I did probably 80% of the install by myself. I did seal around all the bolts with silicone. ... show more

Product arrived with parts missing. Wanted to return it but it was shipped from New Jersey about 250 miles away. They wanted it returned to California, about 3,000 miles away and I would have to pay for shipping. Did get the missing parts and instructions a couple weeks later only to find the instructions are horrible. Even the measurements are wrong. Did finally get it installed and it seems to be ok but buying it was a huge mistake. ... show more

Mounted this on a box truck for a mobile retail business. It has stood a season's worth of sun and wind and has held up well. We actually have 2 of them now. The electric option is well worth it because it takes a lot of turns with the hand crank to extend and retract. One thing to note is that in strong winds the gas cylinders can't keep the awning at full extension so you need to anchor the outer roller with weights or tie to some other fixed object. Well organized, fairly easy to install. The only difficulty was the bars on this particular camper, which is a Flagstaff 25FK as the Bar is just at the very tip of my external hose.. I didn’t use their switch; it did work with my switch, which it doesn’t automatically go out with let me run it out and bring it back. I use the one they offered to adjust the distance and the return and it worked perfectly.. the LED light track I bought fit also perfectly into their slot. You can see in the pictures.. my particular like in this thing is that they have a knob to lower one side or the other to let off the excess rainwater the old one I had actually had a bolt and it sucked. I also like that you can use a hand crank to bring it up, which is very helpful for renting it out. There was one issue with the distance between the side of the camper and the roller bar. There is no distance and Ashley pressed against the camper and the bars them selves did not close completely so they may want to add a bracket to make it about 4 inches out so that the bars go flush. The included Velcro straps will be helpful because of that not closing completely.. ... show more

The quality of this awning is great! The awning fabric looks great! It is a two person install, so do not attempt to install it by yourself. Awning does not come with lights, so buy separate LED light strip sold on Amazon.
