Sturdy, soft thick fabric, not difficult to assemble by myself in about 20 minutes. The hardest part was attaching the backrest to the arms, but if you do as instructed and loosen all of the bolts a half inch before assembling, it is pretty easy. All pieces were present, very nice instruction booklet and extra hardware. Packaged very securely, shipped immediately, and arrived over a week early! First of all, it is a beautiful piece of furniture, perfect for a gothic aesthetic! I was on the fence about purchasing this, because it didn't appear comfortable (which I was correct about). Ultimately, I couldn't resist its unique look, so I bought one. There is very little low back support, so you will need to use some kind of pillow when sitting for longer periods of time. The pillows that came with the couch are very soft, but I recommend more due to the lack of support the back of the sofa provides. Sofa was damaged in two places during shipping. Thankfully, I purchased the black option, so it will be easier to hide and/or repair. Just a few regrets, but I'm still happy with my purchase. Update on repair: I purchased an all purpose leather and vinyl repair kit, and now the couch looks good as new! ... show more

Light and cheap. The back rest and arm rest don't secure well so it's not tight. It has movement. It feels like it's you're going to sit and fall backwards. I'm going to see if my husband can do something to fix it. We followed the directions to the T but it still feels lose. Kinda sucks. Maybe don't buy these cheap one and just spend a little extra for better quality. Lesson learned. ... show more
