I've always seen people use these anchor pegs on youtube, especially when setting up a tent on a platform. Finally was able to get it and set it up on our patio, since it has a platform deck. My initial reaction was impressive because how functional and simple this tool was. It works great, but I had to take off one star because the spring was weaker than expected. They probably are the achilles heel for this peg because it doesn't feel high quality, but it's not bad. These will work and I'm sure will last for years, but if they improve on using better springs, this would be a 5 star product. ... show more

I have other fishbone without the spring. The problem with those is that they can fall through the deck boards if you are not careful. They worked very well installing them in the 4 corners of my pop up canopy and then going back and tie the ropes. These are thicker than the other ones I currently use. You could also use them to secure furniture on your deck. Very versatile for wooden decks. ... show more
