Every winter our two cars tire sensors do what everyone else's car tire sensors do. They alert us to the fact that due to colder weather and the air molecules condensing inside the tire the pressure gets lower. This results in that diuspaly message that alerts you to an error. If your tire pressure is correct and your getting a error message have yout tire sensors replaced. Besides being unsafe it causes undo wear on tires. I've spent more time than I care to admit searching for a half decent non payment air station around town.. When found then its air the tires and check using a gauge or the cars display to get them right. I purchased this new fangled gizmo and boy howdy its a thing of sheer beauty. i did a speed reading of the manual ( because I'm a guy ) and went for it. Wow it was easy to use. Figured out that pressing the tire to ball switch back and forth starts it. I had set the pressure to 35 and it pumped up eight tires in about 20 minutes or so. It shut them off exactly at 35 and I even checked them with a very accurate gauge. Yep not kind of 35.....it was exactly 35. I bought this unit because I didnt want a cheapo. I purchased the air pump 5 months months ago. It has great features and convenient interface and worked well and accurately, but suddenly something went wrong, it stopped working after a few seconds. I sent an email to the support team and got a quick response. They asked me to send a video of the problem. After that, they sent me a replacement. I have had this tire inflator for a bit over a year now and used it many times to service the tires on our family cars. This machine is a super effective even with our SUV EV tires (high pressure and big tires), but unfortunately the hose sprung a leak recently. I reached out to their customer service to see if there is a way to fix it and they offered me a warranty exchange instead. AMAZING service. Definitely would recommend this or probably the newer replacement model since it looks like they found a better way to store away the hose with less chances of it breaking. ... show more

    • Emergency Travel kit. Icons confusing. No pressure valve.

I asked for a replacement and it came. I tested it inside with the one I am returning and reread the instruction manual. The icons by the power switch I discovered were actually pictures to represent the power type - A 120w house plug vs a cigaritte lighter plug. I initially thought there were icons for the type of extension plug being used... one for balls and one for car tires. MY BAD. No wonder the three outlets did not work when I had the cigarette lighter side selected. The manual has a small labeled diagram of the parts. The instruction manual says to make sure the pressure is released BUT IT DOES NOT SAY HOW TO DO THIS..... A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN RETURNING IN THE MAIL. I guessed and pushed the notch down inside the tire plug. There is not a valve to show how much pressure is stored in he compresser, or if there is, I did not find it. It will pump and make noise. One line 15 minues on an 15 off... Not sure what that meant, or how to tell if the compressor is creating pressure. ... show more

UPDATED REVIEW - 9/1/22 My air compressor died completely - no power to it anymore. I purchased a tool bag to keep this dust free and treated it very well. It was used for bicycle tires mostly and some fitness balls. It's difficult to guess how many times I've used it but it probably was between 20 and 40 occasions. I purchased it in Oct. 2019 so it lasted just under 3 years. The positive review I posted in 2019 (follows below) is all true - but I am removing a star due to it's short lifespan. I am also disappointed that a message I sent (through Amazon) to the vendor (4 "business days" ago) has not been returned, and that technical "support" window for this purchase, "closed" in October of 2021. I understand things don't last these days - but it certainly it was well cared for and was not overused - so I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a product to work for more than 3 years. From Fall 2019: I've had several tire inflators over the years - used almost exclusively for bicycles. I no longer have the others (different brands) because they simply wore out; the most recent one only lasted a few years. This company Avid - is new to me. I like the design very much - it sits "stable" while inflating (I've had others that would tip over) - and I like that it is both compact and "substantial"... it just feels a bit more robust than what I am used to, which I hope translates to longevity. Both the air seal and rate of fill are very good! Customer service is excellent!! I was missing a small part and they took responsibility and immediately communicated and remedied the situation. The ONLY reason I put 4 stars is that I've only had it a month... and I'd like to see (and hopefully return to comment) on how it performs over time. Overall I'm very pleased. ... show more
