  • Solid 4K capture and streaming!
I got this so I could stream my new 4K microscope cameras. Absolutely dead simple unit, plug and play, go find it in OBS, and roll. The video capture is great, and can handle variable framerates well. I haven't tested any higher refresh rates past 120Hz, but what I have tested works well. I'm probably going to snag 3 more in the near future, honestly. I have other devices to hook up for a great stream setup. ... show more

  • Horrible Trash Tier of Hardware (By a Professional)
Horrible card, Waste of money, If you want to play Retro Games on consoles like Wii Don't even bother. I have a wii2hdmi adapter so I can use HDMI on my wii, I used to use a EVGA XR1 Lite capture card (This one gave me audio delays) (product description lies as well) Says this is a 2.0 HDMI (Which works better for retro consoles) But its actually a 2.1 HDMI port. (Horrible for Retro) So I bought this card as going through Grok, Chatgpt and Gemini all 3 ai's told me this card was the best for my use case, That it would work with my 240hz 1440p monitor and it would work with no audio delay for my Speedrunning needs on my Wii (For Ocarina of Time) Anyways, This card had major EDID problems (Essentially the handshake between signals from the wii to the monitor via passthrough) And it wouldn't give me a display on my monitor pretty much at all via passthrough. Only could be seen through OBS. (Also to troubleshoot this card I had to unplug my monitor's power cable literally a hundred times to end the handshake from the Capture card to my monitor just to get it to re-estabilish a correct handshake, Absolute mess of a product.) I went through these AI again to try and fix the issue as I am very PC tech savvy. And nothing worked really, I got it working slightly but it was just awful, Big black boxes etc, If I wanted to swap from my Wii to my Switch I'd have to boot the horrible software for it: (AssistCentral Pro) And change it from Internal EDID to like copy etc. Regardless ANY Capture card like this FOR any reason should be plug and play on ANY monitor. It didn't it gave me a professional a massive headache and I just returned it after 3 hrs of troubleshooting. Not worth your money UNLESS you are buying this for STRICTLY new gen consoles like a PS5. Otherwise DO NOT waste your time, Massive headache absolutely trash and I will be returning it. Honestly a huge scam product. AVermedia or whoever owns that trash company could offer me 10 of their BEST capture card products for FREE because of this massive issue and I wouldn't even accept ONE that's how bad their products are. ... show more

  • Unable to update firmware and change settings for device
Ordered one and while it functioned I was unable to update the firmware, which prevents me from being able to use the assist program to change settings. I worked with the AverMedia's customer support and they determined the device must be defective. So I returned and got a new one, but it also has the same issue. ... show more

  • Great quality at an affordable price.
This is a great card to play Switch 2 or PS5 games in true 4K/HDR on my Mac desktops. I bought two and wrote an app, CapturePlay, that is now on the App Store. Some other cards claim 4K, but only deliver that through private APIs, not UVC.
