This is the second time I've purchased an avenco mattress, having purchased another one about six months ago when we moved into a new apartment, and it's still as good as new. My parents are coming over for vacation next month, so I had to buy another one for the guest room, but the previous model was out of stock, so I saw this new, more affordable mattress and ordered it without hesitation. Get the mattress out of the box and it grew from a tortilla-shaped piece of foam to a thick queen size hybrid mattress in 24h.（I turned my heat up in my room to get the bed to fluff a little faster as colder temps make it take a little longer.） It looks more beautiful than the one I bought before, could not resist sleeping on it for a few nights! The mattress is nice and firm, woke feeling pretty fantastic the first night I slept on it. Individual pocket springs provide fantastic support when sleeping and the quality memory foam didn't make me feel like fighting with quicksand. I'm a chronic side sleeper, i will wake up with a sore back if the foam layer of the mattress is not supportive enough and can not provide point-to-point pressure release for the body. And my husband, a stomach sleeper, also can't stop raving about my purchasing. Avenco mattresses are designed for all sleeping positions. At least, from my two buying experiences, they do! I'm sure my parents will love this new mattress as much as I do. But it's okay if they're not satisfied, avenco offers a 100-night trial and a 10-year warranty, which is one of the things that turned me into their loyal customer. I was a little nervous because I couldn’t see it and test it beforehand, but it’s been really legit so far. It started to fill up as soon as I unboxed it. It’s pretty comfortable but a little on the stiff side kinda but it’s not terrible. I’m gonna get a pillow topper for it next. Had never bought "mattress in a box" before. It is heavy, so put in on the frame first. It is VERY vacuum sealed so be ready! Double wrapped in thick sealed clear plastic and expands FAST. Slept on it first night, right out of box. Did I mention self inflates quickly?! Be ready and place it where you want it before opening. When you hear the fist hiss coming from the plastic wrap, get it out of the rest of the plastic fast. You'll have less than 5 minutes until it forms to shape. Purchased this hybrid queen size mattress from amazon a few days ago and here is my objective reviews: The mattress can be easily set up and a special tool is provided to open the package conveniently. It only took about 10 minutes to inflate the mattress from its packed state and it took about 60 hours to expand its full size completely before I slept on it. I have suffered chronic spine pain and could not sleep well for almost 12 years. The innerspring of this amazing mattress is constructed and wrapped individually, so laying down doesn't deform the whole mattress. Not too soft and not too firm, it got enough support to the back and waist, and when I turned to the side it also did not have any weird feeling on my neck and shoulder. there's controlled transference of motion, and the mattress is cool, both are great features! A bit more edge support would be great, personally, so when I sit on the edge of the bed, I feel that I'm supported. Overall, this is a good quality mattress for aged people with chronic back pain, and with the little amount of money spent on this mattress, I would give it 5 stars..even if you get 5-6 years on it you got your money worth. ... show more

11' deep after 10 hrs. I test to sleep for two months . I returned my Ikea one after used for a month. This one has the good support which is I am really care about . The Ikea firm one was no good support make me feel tired everyday when I woke up . This one will sink about 4 ' . Overall it is really comfortable . I took a chance and ordered it and I won the bet, avenco queen size mattress fits what I was looking for and my budget. it is very supportive - which is what I wanted. The memory foam layers provide some softness, and the coils provide good support. I find it comfortable and would call it firm. I did let the mattress stand 60 hours before sleeping on it but obviously, it was firmer on the second night than on the first night I slept on it. So waiting 72 hours after opening to sleep on it would be my advice. I usually wake up with aches and pains and my lower back feeling pinched but not with this mattress! It keeps my body aligned no matter what position I sleep in, I have no pain when I wake up, I sleep soundly, and there is no more snoring. I sleep deep and long. Was hesitant to purchase online but I don't regret one bit. Seems like this will hold up for good.
