Description

The Antronix VRA series provides full compatibility with all cable TV services. The VRA900B provides an alternative to the higher priced Electroline FT08300 and PCT VC9U, while providing some additional capabilites that other products cannot provide. The VRA900B provides a full set of 8 amplified output ports. Each port carries the exact same signal level as the input port carries - in both the forward and reverse directions. This unique design makes the VRA900B a true lossless splitter in both directions, allowing you to connect virtually any cable TV device and enjoy worry-free operation. All 8 ports can be used for any type of device including a cable modem. The VRA900B also provides a Modem Bypass port. The bypass port allows you to connect any device to the amplifier (usually a cable modem or VoIP phone device) and insure operation of that device in the event of a power failure.The amplifier is surge protected and waterproof. It also has a unique mounting design that allows the amplifier to be mounted either horizontally or vertically with two separate sets of mounting brackets. This provides you with the best options for mounting the amplifier anywhere inside or outside your home. Supports operation from -40 degrees to +140 degrees Fahrenheit. The amplifier can be powered from any location using an optional (not included) power inserter. Power supply, F59 Terminators, and custom 3 foot Reliable Superflex power cable are included.

We recently upgraded our old comcast cable boxes to their X1 cable boxes, but we had issues with TVs not working, losing connection constantly, etc. After days of talking to comcast support and going into their store, I thought I would try to fix the problem myself. They never told us that the problem could be the amplifier, but nothing else was working so I decided to replace our old amp with this one. It was an easy install, the product itself feels very sturdy and built to last. SECONDS after installing this, ALL of our new X1 equipment began working with no issues. I wish I would've done this from the start if I knew this was the issue. It was such a headache trying to talk to comcast support that had no idea how to fix our issue and did not want to send a tech out to help. I am HIGHLY SATISFIED with this product as it fixed all of the issues we were having with our cable TV. Now we can watch high definition TV without worrying about losing connection. Internet and phone work just as good as before too. If you're having issues with your TV connection and you have an old amp, this will most likely fix your problem. ... show more

    • Was not the source of my problem
Having signal issues, thought my 15 year old splitter may have been the problem, easiest thing to try first. This unit did not help, but did not hurt either. Ended up being the cable in the wall was damaged. Could not see it until I pulled it out and replaced.

    • Improved the signal to my 6 coax outlets!
What a terrific product! :) My cable line starts at a box on the main road in my complex, travels from there through three basements of my neighbors and finally appears in my own basement. Among TVs, computers and streaming equipment I have six coax outlets in use and the signal began to degrade. The cable company was here last week to trouble shoot and they couldn’t find a solution. I noticed a million cables running through splitters and decided to try this unit with a powered amp. Best. Decision. Ever! Well, OK, maybe not EVER but the amplifier makes a noticeable difference in my picture quality so hooray!!! As a bonus it’s also a snap to install - the only tricky part for me was figuring out how to get power to the unit when there were no outlets nearby. Once I took care of that issue then I spent all of about five minutes screwing in the ground wire, cables, input cable and power line (I recommend this version of the product because it came with a special coax cable used specifically for power rather than to carry a signal).     • Fixed Problems with Xfinity/Comcast TV Reception
I wish I had known that replacing our splitter would fix the problems we have had on all of our tvs. After countless discussions with Xfinity about our poor reception & the picture freezing up frequently we were told to replace the small black box for each extra tv we had & that would take care of problem. Our main tv was connected to the Xfinity dvr box & was never affected with the poor reception. Since changing the small black boxes didn’t help I finally figured out that it was probably the splitter needed to be upgraded. Once I hooked up this splitter all the tvs work perfectly. The build quality is very good, product has some weight to it. I like how there are two ways to mount it; flush with a wall surface, or perpendicular to a wall or other piece of wood. The power connection also uses a coax cable with an F connector which is provided in the box. The reason I bought this was because I have many different coax cable runs all throughout my house which were all being split out from the main cable with passive splitters. I was having issues with signal degradation, and this amplifier took care of it. It was delivered very fast and it solved our issues. We were extending a cable signal that was supposed to work for the Internet too. The cable tech said that the signal was not strong and he quoted almost $200 to install a booster. This device solved all our issues. TV picture was clear and excellent. Heavy duty no db loss splitter on any output and it’s bidirectional, has a dedicated port for VoIP, and pass through no power port. Works great on my cable system, without issues and very easy to install.
