I have fine curly hair and it gives more volume compared to when I don't use it. My hair uses about 4-5 sprays after a wash. It will last a while for those who do not wash every day. The only downside that I found to this product is the spray mechanism itself. I wish it came out as a finer mist than a harder, more direct spritz. I think it would cover more area if it was more of a mist. I did not find it made my hair more oily, dry, or sticky but that's probably because I put a mouse or gel on top afterwards. ... show more

I got this as I had a traumatic hair shedding from another issue. This is easy to apply and really helped my hair feel fuller and you know that a hair issue can be upsetting. It's not heavy or doesn't leave my hair sticky but I only go over my hair once with it. No scent that I can tell and I am sensitive to scents. It definitely gave my hair more volume, but it was nothing extravagant- worth it to feel a little better about the hair loss as new growth comes in. 4 stars as it's pricy, but if I concentrate on roots and just go around with sprays once, it lasts awhile. I have used this product for several years now along with its sister product, Aveda Texturizing Spray. I have very fine hair and have tried numerous products over the years that did not work. This does. I put it on my wet hair after shampooing and toweling dry along with the Texturizing Spray. I also use it on dry hair in between shampoos without adding the Texturizing Spray. My hair is noticeably thicker and will also maintain a curl after using hot curlers. It's a little pricey but definitely worth it! My only complaint is that it has an herbal smell.
