This is very purple. It does not suds up. It is not moisturizing, or conditioning. It cleans your hair and pulls out yellow and adds purple so gray looks clean and blond looks cool. I don't use it twice in a row. I use a deep conditioning mask between uses. It is the most effective purple toning product I have tried. My brilliant son had told me that shampoo was made without bubbles. And it did not go over well. This product is the same. No bubbles, they told me it would go on like paint... I used the blue malva by Aveda to get it rinsed/washed out. Going back to blue malva shampoo and conditioner by Aveda....

I have used many aveda products and loved them. That said - the good part is I’m blonde/gray and this stuff really pops those highlights. In other news, it left my hair feeling dry and sort of stiff. I saw a product review that suggested mixing it my regular shampoo and behold!! Works great.
