9 year old daughter bought this bike she really likes it. Its a good set up for her age for learning to use shifters. Bike seems to be well built. One thing I wish the bike had is a guard for the derailer.

I like that it was simple to put together and that the bike seems easy to ride for my son. I don't like that there were some minor scratches on the bike. Shimano derailleur and trigger shifters made this a no brainer for a starter bike with gears for a kid. My little one is 5 and this fits him well with the saddle all the way at the bottom. He’s pretty advanced so I wouldn’t recommend this for very many 5 year olds but it fits him to where he can straddle the bike and feet touch the ground. The set up was very simple. You do have to tune the derailleur, set up and tune the brakes, etc so if you’re not good at that I’d recommend dropping it off at a bike shop and letting them do it. I work with my hands and tools for a living. A simple YouTube search and it was roadworthy in about an hour tops out of the box. Pleasantly surprised with how simple the tuning and set up was. The box came damaged and there is some rash on it as you can see here and the front wheel is slightly warped. I chose not to return it and it’s all working out great. ... show more

The bike looks nice but I got 2 bikes, 1 tire won’t hold air, 2 are hard to inflate, and the 4th is fine. The gear shifter does not shift correctly and I’m trying to figure out how to adjust it before Christmas. The brakes are not set correctly and need to be highly adjusted. The chain is also junk. One of the links binds and does not travel freely over the sprockets. I tried to go on the Amazon seller page to contact the seller but they don’t have that option. ... show more
