This is my second set of the exact same bags. This particular set fits everything that I normally carry in the bags, so the storage capacity is a good for me. I like the suspenders & cell phone holder. Great value for the price, the first set I bought lasted about 5 years. Quality was good until I found a hole in the bottom of one of the bags that was rubbed through by one of the chisels I carry. Love this brand. Back in the day Home Depot sold them, then they disapeared. Stoked to find them alive and well on Amazon. I have been a framer for 30 +years, Sure you can spend $300 for an overpriced rig that may last a bit longer , but at this price point nothing beats Dead On. People saying they’re too bulky and too big. Like anything, you have to adjust everything. I’m 5’9” 240. I have a 34” waist and like it tight. The bags are adjustable by the Velcro alone, gotta feed the sliding adjusters through the bag belt loops to get it tight. Anything needs to be broken in, they get better with use. If they’re too bulky, than maybe get a maintenance man belt instead. 20 years as a carpenter and I use every inch of the bags. ... show more

i love these bags. i bought them for a couple reasons. they are the closest to my old set that some P.O.S. stole. and i trust the dead on brand from years of using their tools. the only issue ive had is the suspenders have ripped appart on the first day. they are very functional, the pockets are sound and the whole thing is easily adjustable. i would 100% recommend this product. So this is an update to the above review. The bags are good enough and do exactly what they are supposed to do, carry stuff. I did replace the belt with a leather one. My issue is that as I’m getting older and I use the shoulder straps. On the first day they started coming apart. I contacted dead on about this if it’s a manufacturer issue.     • Decent belt but the drill clip needs to be moved.
Great sized pouches. The front suspender sizes keep moving down while I work and I feel the spot to hang a drill off of is poorly placed. If I put the latch to the front my knee continuously knocks my drill off. when the bags are switched and the clip is towards the back of my leg it falls off less often but still hits the back of my leg. Perhaps off a pouch would be a better position so the drill would be off to your side. Going to try a different bag next time around. ... show more
