Edit: After being contacted by Avantree support and running through some diagnostic tests I was sent a new transmitter. After connecting the new transmitter and using it for a couple of days no issues with the new transmitter were found. I returned the faulty transmitter for their review. Purchased this headphone in December 2022 so I could watch TV at my volume and my wife could enjoy the same show at her comfortable volume. Using the optical connections for pass through everything worked perfectly, until it didn’t. 6 months old and the product just stopped working. No pass through and no sound on headphones. I’ve confirmed my optical out on the tv is working fine. If I unplug the power to the transmitter and let it sit overnight it will work once. Put the headphones on the transmitter to charge and the next night nothing. When this happens the white light blinks on the transmitter base and from what it says on the sticker, this means invalid signal. I’ve reset the transmitter to factory defaults and re-paired the head phones and still the only thing that fixes it is to unplug power and let it sit for several hours.     • Truly Plug and Play.
I had originally purchased a different model but could not get it to connect. I called customer service and they looked at what i had, a no blutooth samsung tv and an older sony sound bar. They then gave me 2 options so I exchanged the original unit for this one. This was truly plug and play. I just disconnected the optical cord from the sound bar and plugged it in to the Opera transmitter. Then attached the supplied cable from the transmitter to the soundbar and made 2 adjustments to the sound settings on the tv and everything worked. It was great not to have to try to muscle the 55" tv by myself. The Avantree products both came with clearly labeled cords, great packaging and clear instructions. Then their customer service was superb as the customer service rep actually called me, unasked, when i was in the middle of the chat with her. The unit works with just the tv and the headphones or both headphones and soundbar depending on what you turn on, no extra fiddling involved. It was wonderful to go to sleep last night without the explosions and gunfire coming from the tv in another room. My transmitter developed a problem after two months and was quickly replaced under warranty. Dealing with Avantree tech and warranty support was fairly easy. Setting up the Bluetooth link using the replacement transmitter was a bit complicated, at least for me, but a phone conversation with Avantree tech support quickly got things going properly.     • When TV sound is set to Dolby, they don't work. Easy to reset sound to normal TV
I am a retired engineer. Have had the opportunity to work with many companies and their products and customer service representatives. This headphone product is as well made as anything I have ever purchased, and included all the different types of cords I might need to set it up with my system. I had a problem initially; the headphones did not work. Completely dead. I reached out to Avantree. The customer service I received is second to none, in my experience. Their representative could speak the "Kings English" which goes a long way in explaining everything and was very knowledgeable about their product. Avantree immediately sent me a new set and followed up to make sure I received them and that they worked. They took the time to show me how to use them with all my devices. They had a return label in the new box, which made it easy to send the original back. Their Web Site is AWSOME. Has several videos to show you how to use the headphones as well as a list of frequently asked questions and clear explanations. They are simply the best company I have ever used. Highly recommend.
