I wanted a better option when riding my bicycle and fishing. I tried other, wireless type earbuds that lost connectivity often while riding and don't feel secure. The sound is very good, fit well and stay in place. They are comfortable under my helmet. I am happy with the USB version plugging into the charge port of my phone. The built in volume control works well. I have not yet received a call while riding. The noise cancellation feature is nice. I don't think it rivals expensive headphones but it cuts the wind noise enough that I was not disturbed. This was a good choice for the price and my needs.

I have had these Avantree E171 - Sports Earbuds Wired with Microphone for about 3 weeks now and I mainly use these on the treadmill when I run. I have found these to be more than adequate for that purpose. I previously bought Koss $6 headphones for the same purpose but I found those didn't last long enough before one of the earpieces would just go dead. With the Avantree, I can see that for the price, they are a little better made and the wiring is a little stronger. They don't seem flimsy at all, and the earbuds themselves and the portion that fits on your ears seem to be sturdy. They fit on my ears nicely enough with the loops and they do not bother me with or without glasses. They come with the middle size eartips attached, but I did find that when I run on the treadmill, they seemed to jump around a little, so I put on the larger ones. (The earbuds come with 3 sizes of eartips). The eartips are a little hard to get off and get the new ones on but you just need to grab the main part of the earbud and grab the base of the eartip and twist and pull a little to take it off, then work the new one on to the stem by working the opening of the eartip on the stem and pushing down and twisting a little. I have dexterity issues with my hands and I still got them on and off in about a minute. As far as the sound, these are not bass heavy at all, but that is fine (especially for the price) as the music I listen to doesn't have much bass (such as with rap and some rock), but I found there is enough bass where needed, and they provide a nice rich, melodic sound without being "tinny" at all. In addition, although they do not have built-in noise cancelling functionality, I find that with the larger eartips when I am on the treadmill in our community fitness room, I do not hear the lady that babbles on loudly and continuously :). Thank You Avantree! I have not tried these with a cell phone, so I can't speak to using with that. But, I have tried these on an iPod shuffle, an iPod touch and an iPad. The product listing here under "Before You Buy, Please Note That..." notes: "The built-in volume control does not work on PC, laptop, or iOS MP3 players, and the volume up button does not work on the Pixel 3A and Galaxy A9, S10, and Note 9 (it'll activate Google Assistant instead)." I will verify the in-cord volume control and the pause button does not work on the iPod shuffle, but I found they DO work on the iPod Touch and my iPad. Seems to be a bit of a bonus. Overall, I think they are worth the price and provide a set of nice sounding wired earbuds.

Got this to listen to my old iPod while I'm at work or doing exercises. Don't expect high-quality sound you'd get from brands like Sony or Sennheiser, but they sound great nonetheless. They're made out of a lightweight material so they don't feel uncomfortable to wear for longer listening periods, but as a result the components feel relatively cheap which shouldn't be unexpected for this price point. At lower volumes it sounds a little muddy but from mid volumes and up they sound fine. They're very bass-heavy without any EQ applied and would recommend using one if you're not a big fan of bassy sounds. Overall they're great if you're looking for earphones that stay in and aren't looking for top-of-the-line technology.

I mainly bought these because I wanted a wired (non bluetooth) set of buds, and the ones I was using kept falling out of my ears. These work great, as they have the holders that go over the ears. Also, the sound quality is much better than the basic buds I was using before. I was disappointed to find the buttons would not work with my SanDisk mp3 player, but they do mention that the buttons are meant to be used with phones and not mp3 players or computers, so I can't fault them for that. I did find the location of the button awkward (fairly close to the earpiece, rather than further down the line), but I suppose that is a matter of personal preference. All in all, for the price, a good value, and I'm very happy with the sound quality.

I bought these to use with my old-school iPod while using the treadmill at the gym. The over-the-ear part makes a world of difference for keeping them in place while being active. The in-ear portion is comfortable, and there are 3 sizes to choose from for a good fit. The sound quality is fine for my use. Not as good as full-fledged ear phones, but for using while exercising, they are just right. I noted that the inline volume control is not meant to work with MP3 players, and indeed it does not. However, the pause button (middle button) on the inline control does work with my iPod. I've used them a few times and have no complaints. I would buy again.

I like these headphones overall, they stay in my ears well and the sound is good. The only downside was the inline control stopped working correctly within a few weeks -- I can't pause music or fast forward tracks which is one of the reasons I got them.

Easily one of the most comfortable pairs of earbuds I’ve used, fits very snug around my ears. The button controls work great! The sound quality is passable for the price but lacks bass. Overall pretty good, not perfect but good.
