We needed to raise our head during sleep. This mattress elevator works for that. The split cal king made it easier to carry. The only qualms we have is that it is bare material without cover. It would have been nice to install a cover on it. And we couldn’t find a cover for it either.

I bought this for a few reasons. 1. Our Californial King non-waterbed mattress is set in a boxed in waterbed frame. It makes putting bedding on rather difficult for me as I have back/neck/hand issues. I was hoping this would help lift the mattress enough out of the frame for easier bed making. Goal was achieved after taking the wood panel out of the bottom side of the bed. --win 2. My husband has sleep apnea of the obstructive form and is suppoed to use his CPAP. I have borderline sleep apnea that seems to disappear when my head is elevated. (so far so good for me.Less than a month using it though). It has NOT stopped my husband's snoring. Can't have it all, I guess. :) 3. I had been using a wedge pillow on top of the mattress to help with acid reflux issues and reduce apneas. The problem was that caused me to sleep in awkward positions that threw my alignment out of whack. My neck is much happier now that I don't need the wedge on top of the mattress. My acid reflux--not completely helped, but definitely better than a regular pillow on a regular, flat mattress. 4. I was suprised how comfortable this is under our ghostbed firmish mattress. My husband hasn't complained one bit either. Only 1 concern... not sure how good this is to be slanted whole body down, regarding legs/feet circulation. Therefore I have put my big wedge pillow at my feet and sometimes a pillow under knees. I don't stay on it the whole night, but at least I feel better with some elevation while on my back. Overall, I like this even better than imagined before buying.

I bought this mattress elevator to combat acid reflux. It has helped with that some, but it has an added benefit of reducing both mine and my boyfriend's snoring. The elevator expanded to its full size within one day, and I put it on the bed. I have it under a very heavy mattress, and it has not compressed at all. The mattress doesn't slide around on top of this, but I don't have the cover on the elevator. I do need to have my boyfriend help me rotate the mattress now, though, since I can't just spin it around on the box spring like I used to do.

I have a heart problem and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis - also HORRIBLE sleep. Mild sleep apnea. I bought this out of desperation hoping it would help with the brain inflammation and because an M.E. expert said that elevating the head above the feet by 6 inches would help increase blood volume. I don't know if it is doing either of those things. What I do know is that for reasons unknown it is really helping me sleep more restfully. I have always had night terrors - terrible dreams accompanied by physical sensations like choking, sweating, terrible sensations in my heart like someone digging their fingertips in and squeezing. I usually wake up feeling like I just ran a marathon with my eyes closed. For reasons I do not understand I'm no longer getting the physical sensations along with the night mares and I'm waking up feeling a little bit rested. I'm still having the same night mares - just not all the physical strain that used to go along with it. Very strange - but good! More good stuff about this: M.E. will make you spend A LOT of time in bed and my back always gets really sore - this seems to be helping with that as when my back starts to get sore now I just put pillows under my feet and legs and my body being in a 'v' shape seems to alleviate the back pain. I am very surprised that the foam can support both me and my mattress without sagging and making my bed too soft. Also, I am very VERY sensitive to fumes of any kind and I was shocked that this foam product didn't make me sick when it came out of the package - so two thumbs up for that! Many bedding and household products will make me sick when they are new. It took me about 2-3 weeks to get used to the slope. I don't slide down it much at all (maybe 6 inches over 8 hours if that) but for those first few weeks I would think that I was sliding the last few hours I slept and wake up like 'ohhh nooo!!" That sensation is gone now. The only complaint I have to spend a lot of my time dozing on and off in bed and I usually sleep with a lot of random stuff in the bed that I need either for work or for comfort - phones, notepad and pen, remote control, hat, scarf, lip gloss. That stuff does tend to slide down now and end up lost in the blankets somewhere near the middle of the bed instead of just hanging out by my pillow where I usually keep it all handy. Totally solvable by getting some kind of bedside table though and totally worth it for the increased restfulness I've been feeling. I like to sleep between two body pillows as well and those do tend to end up at the middle or bottom of the bed - it's half annoying... but half convenient as usually by the time they are at the bottom of the bed, I've been asleep long enough that my back is starting to get sore (I'm talking like 10-12 hours or more) and it's time to put my legs on the pillows to help with the back pain anyway. I think people who don't sleep as long or with all that stuff in their bed won't have an issue lol. For that 2-3 week period of getting used to it I was really wondering if I should have bought the one that only slopes 4 inches but now I'm very very happy with this product! I'll be traveling soon and I really don't know how I'm going to go back to sleeping on a flat surface!

You can see it unfolding in one of the pictures: tt took somewhere from 24h to 48h for full extension, as advertised. The dimensions are shown in centimetres and correspond to their equivalent in inches - give or take what's specified buy the manufacturer. The foam feels solid and doesn't have any major holes in it - some air bubbles, but that's normal. There is virtually no difference between the 2 pieces that make up the queen bed, so no step in the middle. Overall, quite like it. Raises my mattress, as I have reflux issues, as intended. Helps me sleep better, as my back is no longer bent from the pillows I used to have below my mattress making height. Not intended to sleep on directly, of course. I didn't mind the fact that it comes without a cover, as I bought one myself, but I can see how some people would like it. Would buy again.

I highly recommend this products. The foam is very sturdy and does not mat down and lose it's shape. I put them between the box springs and mattress on both sides of the double bed. They have held their shape for 2 years so far and we are on the heavy side. Works great. These are better than regular pillows that often would hurt my neck.
