This is coming from a retro game collector with a decent sized Wii and GameCube collection... I have a tv with only HDMI ports so I decided to pick this up due to its high reviews. Let me add another 5 star review to this. It works perfectly with my HD TV. I only have 3 tiny complaints about it overall. - It only outputs in 720p in 4x3 resolution. - the cord itself gets a bit warm during prolonged gaming sessions. - the length of the cord is a bit short. Other than that the sound is good it was plug and play and it's got decent build quality. If you have a Wii gathering dust you might as well get this and plug it back in like it's 2008 again. ... show more

I got this converter for our Nintendo Wii so my wife can use it to exercise in the living room. The reason I needed it is because we have a Samsung The Frame and it doesn’t have an option for regular Yellow/White/Red component cables 😒. This wire is a much better solution than having a converter box. Much neater setup and it works great with no need to mess with it. Plug it in and you are done. The picture and sound are just as I remember it. You can put it in progressive scan but I think the Wii looks better having it look as close to SD on a CRT TV as possible so I left it that way and it looks great. ... show more

Purchased to convert an old wii for use on a standard computer monitor. I am very happy that it worked, but even happier that it worked so well. There is no lag or latency which allows me to squeeze a little more gaming time with an older console on my pc rig. Great product.
