  • Surprisingly great little amplifier
Size: Old Model
I bought this amplifier on a whim. Never heard of this brand before. So I took a chance. And boy was I surprised. I have two 12 planet audio subwoofers. 1800 watts each.Wired to two ohm's coming out to one channel. My gain is set at around 30% and it hits extremely hard and the clarity is unbelievable. we took it up to a local competition shop and put it on a decimal meter fine-tuned everything in and I'm heading approximately 140 decibel with no problems. This amplifier it's just as well if not better then my Orion packing 5000 RMS on for type r's and I'm heading in the same decibel range. The Orion amplifier 5000 RMS true power and it cost me about $1,300 and no 700 for the subs and box. The shut up I have in my other vehicle is the two planet audio 12 inch subwoofers at 1800 watts a piece and this little 2000 watt amplifier prayer total cost of under $180 please just as well as my type R's do.And I don't even have it turned up it said about 30% and I was very surprised by the performance of this off the wall amplifier. Now one thing I know is stereo equipment I've been rocking subs since the late 80s. I know people get a laugh out of it when they pull up to a stop light and hear me and I roll the windows down because they're tinted and they see a 60 year old man sitting there just pounding the hell out of them subwoofers. I get a lot of thumbs up for that one. I took this keeper set up for the planet audio and the amplifier to a competition 45 people and I placed second on this system I placed first with my other vehicle which has the Orion in the type r's subwoofers in it both were hitting in the 140 to 160 decibel range which if you know stereo equipment that's enough to blow your eardrums out permanently. That's why I have everything on a remote. Hahaha. Take a chance the shut up subs were eighty bucks for the pair amplifier was around $70 dollars if I remember right and I have the bucks and it's sealed box not a ported box. And I can't say much about how surprised I was its performance of this under $200 sound system. even the people at the competition couldn't believe what I was running and placed second. Now I'm not all that enthused about having it heard two blocks away but it can be I'm mainly in it for the clarity. And it is extremely clear and loud and I would recommend this setup to anybody just wanting to start out or even upgrade to it. It's an unbelievable little system for the price Thank you William Hart Jr. ... show more

  • Works Great!!
Size: Old Model
This thing SLAPS!! Very durable as I am rough on amps. I fried my whole live wire, replaced with bigger one, and the Amp STILL WORKED just as good as before!! Couldn't believe it!

  • Overheats, poor quality switches and RCA’s
While this amp is quite capable of driving four door speakers and had a ton of adjustability, it’s shortfalls do not make it an investment worthwhile. If you buy this amp and have issues do not expect much help from the company besides a single email with a prewritten rma request and no additional emails. Be prepared to do some internal modification to components to save the amp. The channel switch internals do not make contact correctly leading to random 1,2,3 or 4 speakers working. The rca jacks must be removed, and new ones soldered in. The switch can be fix by bridging the pins on the board or replacing the switch but good luck finding a 16 pin 4p3t. Lastly even after the fixes, set to 1/4 gain anything higher than 1/4 on the head unit will cause the amp to shut down. It restarts once cooled after about 30 seconds but it is very annoying. Overall. Not worth it unless you’re ready to troubleshoot literally everything about the amp. ... show more

  • Hahahahaha 250 watts peak!
Size: Old Model
Well after multiple testes and amp draw this amp is complete garbage. It is good for speakers that’s about it an honest I wouldn’t hook my tweeters to this garbage. DO NOT BUY THIS AMP. My 1996 kicker 300.1 puts out twice this Power

  • Underpowered
Size: Old Model
Bought this to try to power a 10" Kicker Comp C sub in a matching box. I've had the sub and a preexisting amp sitting for almost 10 years now that I was planning on using on an older car that I never got around to. I bought the box recently, as well as an adapter that would plug into the factory system on my Cadillac ELR so I didn't have to use a LOC. Having an EV, I prefer the energy efficiency of a class D amp so I thought I'd give this one a try after seeing the positive reviews. It was quite large compared to my old amp, but felt well built. I disconnected my 10-year old Boss Chaos Epic 500W RMS amp, and connected this one. Compared to the old amp, this was pushing out significantly less power. In the end, I decided to return it and spend a bit more. I picked up a Kenwood KAC-511 which is rated at 300w RMS at 4 ohms, and boy what a difference. ... show more
