I have a male pigeon that I've hand raised. First of all when I put the food into one of these and tried moving it, it spilled everywhere even with the little band around the bottom. Then when I placed them into his cage the band isn't long enough to secure to the cage with the back piece. 20 minutes after I placed the food and water containers into his cage, he had the food container completely emptied all over the bottom of his house. It was not knocked over or separated. The water dish is semi helpful. But my pigeon likes to sling his food everywhere bc he's picky. And I have had to empty and refill the water daily due to seed getting flung into the area the water comes out. If I had seen different feeders like I saw today on Amazon I'd have gotten them. But as I have used these, I doubt I can return them. ... show more

Unfortunately a poor design and weak construction. We bought this one and a different product at the same time. Returning both. Ordered another more expensive item. In this case, “you get what you pay for” so far seems valid advice.

Should have read the reviews prior to ordering. Waste of money. Water spills everywhere. And it’s too heavy (when filled with water), and doesn’t secure very well to the cage. I’ll be returning this item.
