Needed a simple pump to suck up 20-30 gallons of stagnant water from the lowest area in my basement. The previous owners filled the basement drain with cement so every time I have any kind of leak in my basement I end up with inches of water on the floor with nowhere to go. First in the lowest area and then if I don't catch it in time, the rest of the basement. My heater took a dump & started leaking some kind of brown rusty fluid on my floor (maybe rusty water, who knows). A day or so later my water alarms went off & I got to looking for a pump to drain the stuff into my utility sink & found this pump on Amazon for about $19. Works on 2 D batteries but also comes with an insert to use 6 AA batteries if needed which is pretty nice. I put in the batteries, stuck the stick end in the water & within 10 seconds water started running up & out the tube into my utility sink. I did NOT have to prime this pump & the sink is about 2.5 - 3 feet higher than the floor. No problem for this pump. Not at gushing speeds but I had all the water drained within 2 min or so. Very, very pleased. Same amount of water took me over an hour to manually suck up on previous floods. This was piece of cake. This is an excellent product.

This pump is inexpensive but works very well for the transfer of liquids. I've used it to remove old gas from boat gas tank and lawnmower I pumped water off of my boat cover and drained water out of a hatch. I pumped good gas out of a portable boat gas tank into a can to be used with my blower and weed eater. Great Pump !! Wish I would have bought it sooner!!

This thing works! I use it to transfer fuel from my show car fuel tank for winterizing. Also use it for draining plant bases of excess water, removing water from my toilet so I could change the wax ring, and a million other things. Very versatile and easy to use.

I purchased a competitor's transfer pump a couple of years ago and it failed after only using it a couple of times. I can count on one hand how many times I did use it. It is still sold on here but I will not name the manufacturer. I only need one for summerizing and winterizing by lawn mowers and snowblowers. The old one had weak suction at the very beginning compared to this brand. Now to be fair, I failed to rinse water through the transfer pump after using it. I read somewhere in a review that water should be ran through it to remove any other fluids. I used my new pump today to remove gas from my snowblowers and it really had very good suction. This type will not get all the liquid out due to the three little nubs that serve as standoffs so the inlet will not be blocked off, but it did more than my other brand. I remove what I can for fuel and then run the engines until the remaining fuel is used up.

This pump works well and seems to be of robust quality. I remove 1 star simply because it did not work for my intended use. I am rebuilding a Harley bagger and wanted this to siphon the gas out of the tank. But the pump bulb is too large to fit into my bikes fuel tank. Not to worry though, I used the manual pump for my kerosene heater for the gas and used this pump for my kerosene heater. It all worked out.

For the price, this is a very good pump. I needed a small transfer pump to fill a diesel heater mounted up in the corner of my garage. I started using it all the time to fill up lawnmowers and dirt bikes because the 5 gallon race jugs are very difficult to pour when full. I wish it was heavier duty, it does feel very cheap. I would be willing to pay more for a more durable one, but this one does work well.

I like this product a lot. I have tried a lot of pumps to clear the bilge of water in my boat and this is by far the best. it gets down to the last few mms of water and it easy to use. and i like the D battery feature. i only gave it four stars because i have only used it a few times so far but it would be a 5 if it continues to perform. and I also like the warranty and responsiveness of the manufacurer with clear instructions on how to use.
