Features

  • [Solar Powered] This automatic chicken coop door opener uses solar power, with built-in lithium battery 2000mA, which can be recharged by solar energy and USB port. Fully charged can be used for 50 days. It is recommended to install the solar panel in a place with direct sunlight. Whether it's sunny, cloudy or rainy, both power supply methods ensure that the door works in all conditions.
  • [Multi-Mode Use] 4 basic modes: Light-sensor Mode (Automatically turns on at sunrise and off at sunset), Manual Switch Mode (Open and close the door via a button on the solar panel), Remote Control Mode (Control to open or close the door at any time), Timer Switch Mode (The door opening/closing time can be set by the programmable timer).
  • [Anti-Pinch Design] If the solar chicken coop door touches the chicken when closing, the door will immediately lift upwards to keep the chicken safely away from the door for a few seconds and then continue with the closing procedure. This is an up-to-date safety design and you don't have to worry about chickens getting hurt.
  • [Work in Extreme Weather] IP44 waterproof, can work well in rain, snow and dust, working temperature range is from -15F to 140F (-26C to 60C). Made of high quality aluminum alloy and AES material, not easy to bend or break, long service life, low sound when the automatic chicken door opens and closes, not easy to scare the chickens and ducks.
  • [Easy Installation] This auto chicken coop door is easy and quick to install with complete assembly accessories. It takes no more than 10 minutes to install the door. There are no complicated wiring problems. We provide 12 months warranty and lifetime technical support for our customers, please feel free to contact us.

  • Had an issue but customer service was awesome!
UPDATE: Customer service was awesome! It was a user error, not anything wrong with the solar panel. When the solar panel battery dies it does not turn back on automatically. You have to hold the green and red buttons down at the same time for 3 seconds to turn it back on. If I'd read the directions again all the frustrations would have been avoided. Customer service was very quick to get back to me. Told me exactly how to fix it but I didn't respond right back to them so they sent me a new solar panel in the mail. I was so impressed with this company. Will definitely buy from them again First off....don't follow the template they give you. It's not correct. Just trace the door itself. Second...I'm so glad I bought 2 of these because after 10 days one of the solar panels is not charging (even with the plug in charger they provide). So I had no way to close or open my 2nd coop door. One is still working so I've been having to go back and forth with the one solar panel. It's a pain and ruins why I bought the automatic door in the first place. I'm going to contact customer service for a replacement. The doors are a bit confusing to program. Even though I thought they were easy at first they still are not opening when I though I programmed them to. If I can get a replacement for the solar panel I think eventually I will like these. One of them works pretty well. I'll update after talking with customer service to let everyone know how that goes. ... show more

  • Difficult to set per the manual.
** UPDATE 2 ** When the battery dies - all settings are lost! Meaning it may never close or open again. ** UPDATE ** After powering off / on a few times, and re-setting the configuration - then testing with a flashlight - I was able to find a mode that works. The manual is terrible, in short. I imagine that contributes to the number of low ratings. Still remains to be seen if it will keep the setting - or reset back to the default of not opening. I will update my review accordingly if it continues working. - - - - - - - Unfortunately, it doesn't work as advertised. When clearly set to "Light" mode (which should allow it to come on when it detects daylight) - but it simply does NOT open when it becomes day outside ... nor does it close when it becomes dark outside. I've toggled the power multiple times, un-plugged / re-plugged, set the mode to light each time, and it just doesn't work. I've even tried "Timer" mode - to see if this has any effect, and it basically does nothing as well. The remote is also useless - and doesn't work beyond a few feet! What's the point of a remote if you have to be about 5 feet from the unit in order for it to work? The manual claims 3 to 8 meters, but in reality - I've found it to be much less than that. The manual/documentation is also fairly minimal - and gives virtually no info on the "Timer" feature. As another reviewer stated, when the door closes (which for me, means I have to press the button manually), it doesn't detect when to stop, and the motor keeps pressing on until the motor bogs down completely - then the door opens about half-way - sites here for a few seconds, then the door finally closes. At least the door finally closes, but I'm mostly worried about the wear and tear on the gears and motor components. ... show more

  • Remote only works from about 5 feeet
I like that it is auto open. Haven’t figured out how it is set for 7:28, believe it may be the time when the sun hits the solar panel for the right amount of time. I haven’t read the manual yet but will soon. It does not auto close so I have to go out and do that. So far it always stops when a hen is in the way of the door without hitting the hen. I’ve only owned it a short amount of time and do not know what will happen when temperatures drop below freezing. The only 2 changes I would make are make the remote more useful at further distances and maybe make it wireless with the solar as wires and fam animals are not always compatible; have had to plug the cord from the solar panel back into the door a few times. ... show more

  • Quit working within 7 months
Initially I liked this door. although it wasn't as easy to instal as I hoped. the remote control never really worked on it and setting the timer for the door took some practice and adjustment. once i overcame all of that the door worked great, opened at sunrise and closed at dusk. However, Within 7 months of installation the door quit working. I thought maybe the overcast days had caused the battery to drain, so i brought it inside and charged with the power cord. still not able to get the door to function. I had to manually force the door open to allow the chickens to get into and out of their coop . Probablly why this is now showing a price of $190. way way more than I purchased it for. . ... show more

  • It works well
Power cord could be longer. Easy to install and functioning well when it was first installed. Gets the hens out early. Now the day night, auto open close has quite working. So now you have to open and close the door manually. So in that case there is no reason to by this product. I have sent an email about the unit not coming to a full charge. But my inquiry went unanswered. So now the unit is useless! ... show more

  • Stopped working after 8 months!
Was easy to install, worked great for about 8 months, then started to close and open randomly and unable to program or get light sensor to work. Tried plugging in to make sure battery was well charged several times, would work, then not! Unreliable!! Also super inconvenient to have to program on solar panel…. Especially… If you have to place solar panel up high, out of reach, to get enough sun! Remote has to be close to solar panel to work (15ft or so). Would not buy again. ... show more
