UPDATE: Closing was an issue after a few days but we figured out it was dirt clogging the track. Now it doesn't work at all. Customer service reached out right away to replace the faulty door. Great customer support installation was super easy and our chickens had no issues using the new smaller opening as opposed to the whole human sized door being opened each day. We've had some issues with raccoons and snakes getting into the coop and we are excited to use this new door to keep them out! We don't always remember to shut the door at night so this could be a lifesaver. ... show more

Tried several automatic doors before this one......they all failed in short time with no to minimal response from the sellers. This door was a breeze to install and has been working flawlessly. The remote is an awesome feature as well! I've had a few questions about the door since purchase and the seller has responded back very quickly! I wrote a long and detailed review with pictures and videos but some algorithm at Amazon decided to flag it. While I work with Amazon on that issue, I will post this: It has a very solid feel, the battery appears to be able to run the door for a week or more on a full charge if needed, but one day of full sun is enough to fully charge the battery with the small solar panel included. My only concern is it takes a bit more pressure to trigger the safety "pinch protection" on the closing doors than I would like, but not so much that permanent harm would result. If I have any complaints (or praises) after using this for a time, I will update this review. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Took about a week to get, but super easy to install, and seems to be better quality and a step up from their other model. Fit perfectly into our homemade redneck coop, and took us less than 20 minutes to put in. Looking forward to sleeping in now that the ladies can let themselves out :) ... show more

The automatic coop door has truly been a lifesaver for us and our chickens! This high-quality product exceeded all of our expectations. Installation was a breeze, and it works flawlessly. We're using the solar power option, so I can't speak to the battery life, but with solar, we haven't had to worry about charging it once. The door comes with a remote control for convenience, and it also has an easy-to-set timer, allowing us to schedule opening and closing times on a 24-hour clock. It's incredibly simple to set and ensures the door opens and closes exactly when we need it to. Since installing it, we've enjoyed peace of mind knowing our chickens are securely protected at night. Very easy to install and so far it is working well. I particularly like that the doors open to the side rather than up and down, otherwise we would have had to cut back the roof to accommodate. My biggest concern is how it operates during a winter in New England, especially when it's in the single digits. It's mostly plastic which has a me a little worried, but maybe that will turn out to be better with not having to worry about rust. I will update the review after the winter months. ... show more
