This is a fantastic tool. I work in an automotive shop and have a couple different tpms tools. This one is by far my favorite and the fastest. I can easily copy a bad sensors ID from the obd2 port or I can create a new sensor id and relearn it to the vehicle. There are lots of options and all are very easy. I have not found a vehicle it can't program and replace sensors on. Updates are easy once the free autel software is installed on your pc. There are other options to update too but I haven't used them. The tool has a great battery life. If you're doing TPMs. This is the one to own. Side note. It only works with autel sensors. This tool can also check your key fob to make sure it's working. Great to know if it's the fob or the vehicle if you're having troubles.

I do a lot of basic maintenance on my own vehicles, and one thing that always felt a bit confusing was tire pressure sensors. When I had a warning light come on recently and couldn’t figure out the exact issue, I decided it was time to get a proper tool instead of guessing or making trips back and forth to the shop. This device arrived well packaged and everything inside felt organized and solid. The first thing I noticed was that it didn’t feel overly complicated once I started going through the menus. It walks you through the main steps clearly, which helped a lot since I’m not a professional mechanic. I used it to check all four tires on my truck and was able to activate and read each sensor without much trouble. It also gave me the ability to reset and clear the warning light after I fixed the issue, which honestly saved me a trip to the tire shop. The screen is easy to read and the buttons respond well, so it doesn’t feel frustrating to use. I also like that it connects over WiFi for updates, so I don’t feel like it’s going to become outdated quickly. It’s one of those tools that pays for itself after a couple uses, especially if you deal with multiple vehicles. For anyone who likes handling their own car maintenance, this makes TPMS work a lot more manageable and less intimidating overall.

I bought this to help in replacing TPMS Sensors in my truck. I was able to test the new ones to make sure they worked before installing them and the tool even told me the proper sequence to use to re-train my TPMS system for the new sensor’s SID. I did have issues getting the sensors to activate for the programming with this tool and I’m not sure why since it easily read the sensors. I ended up using a cheap button sensor activator instead. But, this tool worked great for my intended use for it, and I am sure it was user error on not getting it to activate the sensor during training. If you are going to replace or just check the status of TPMS sensors, I would definitely recommend this tool, even with the price. Sometimes the right tools aren’t cheap.

i like this autel ts508wf better then my other two tpms tool (xt001 tp150 & thinkcar venue-1pr0) for example the autel mx sensors are readily available at your local auto parts store. the autel can check keyfob frequency while my other two can't, the autel can unlock toyota ecu if your toyota is stuck in tpms loop mode while my other two cannot. this autel can check all makes and models tpms sensors but can only program/clone autel mx sensors. same with my other two tpms tool as well, after using it for over a week the autel battery last longer then my xt001and thinkcar. i should have bought this autel ts508wf a long time ago and be done with, i highly recommend it over my xt001 & thinkcar.

The tool it self is great, the MX sensors are also good in that they program any fast. Having relearn feature means you do not need to buy their sensors, you can buy OEM sensors and have a relearn. These may apply to other Japanese cars as well. You cannot clear DTC related to TPMS if it is active. For example you cannot clear code if it is a sensor non-transmitting. Once a code is active you need to fix it. This make sense otherwise it would be too easy to keep resetting the codes to hide a safety issue. On a Mitsubishi at least, it does not perform relearn successfuly if the sensors do not work with the car, during relearn it will look for the sensors with the IDs that is being uploaded. If it cannot find working sensors then the upload will fail (and it will take like 5 minutes), the tool cannot give you the proper reason, which does cause confusion about if the tool was working. Another tip is that relearn on a Mitsubishi works at no pressure, this may work the same way for some other cars as well. This means you can leave the sensor in each wheel well, relearn and verify it is working first before installing in the tire. Recently I got 4 sensors (launch brand) and the car absolutely cannot find it. Tried cloning and relearn as new sensors, all failed. As you can guess it is a lot of work replacing the 4 sensors that I just installed. You can't always push a bead down to replace a sensor. On a successful relearn, the new sensors are written quickly, and all codes are also cleared for you on a Mitsubishi, the downside is it may flag a low pressure immediately. So it is a good idea to relearn it again once tires have pressure in them. This is also good for relearn on summer and winter tires, the Mitsubishi learns the tire if rotated, if you drive for a bit, but you can relearn it to get rid of any uncertainty that may cause a dreadful TPMS alarm just in case. I would recommend not cloning sensors if relearning works for your car, this will stop the car from picking up cloned sensors on the other set of tires if close by. With this tool you no longer need to buy obsolete tools like MitsuReset which is almost as expensive and only works for one brand of cars.

Got new winter tires with rims and TPMS. Wasn't sure how this would work, the instruction manual is ok but not the easiest to understand. Turned the unit on and found the vehicle, was able to run diagnostics easily to make sure the new sensors were active, and then used the update TPMS position program to program the new TPMS to the car (just follow the instructions on the unit). Worked on both a Toyota and a Chevy. Had to update the unit before using it which required installing a program to my computer from a Chinese company I've not heard of but I deleted it after and did a clean sweep on the computer so hopefully that's enough. Dealership wanted to charge $95 to program the TPMS each time the tires were switched, so $190/year plus tax for what ended up being 5 minutes of my time. This will pay for itself after 3 uses. Would definitely recommend.

1. Received it, registered it on my Autel account, updated it as instructed. 2. Selected my vehicle (the first one) using the proper build date, etc. and tried to get it to activate ANY sensor on the vehicle. It failed every single wheel. Just wouldn't work. (I have used other TPMS tools like the OTC, etc. and had none of these problems. The sensors on my Explorer are the ones that are banded to the rim and are positioned on the opposite side of the wheel from the valve stem. 3. Selected my wife's pickup in the menu. Same problem. It wouldn't read a single sensor on her truck either. Her sensors are at the valve stem. 4. Sent it back for a replacement. 5. Replacement arrived yesterday. As soon as I took it out of the box, I tried to read the wheel speed sensors on my wife's truck (make the proper menu selections, etc.) Again - it would not activate a single one of her sensors no matter what I did. 6. Brought it back in, registered it on my Autel account, plugged in the power cord, and as with the other tool, I connected it to my wifi (Deco Mesh system). 7. Came back later to check on it (the updates take a while) and found that it had crashed during the update and had thrown me an error message telling me to either try the wifi again or use the cable connection method. I chose the wifi option. 8. It locked up. Froze. 9. I disconnected the power and tried to boot the tool. It got to the Autel screen and that's where it stayed. The tool basically bricked itself during the update. This tool has a lot of positive updates, but for me, it was nothing but a waste of time and a piece of junk. And I own several other Autel tools I've not had trouble with, so I'm not trashing the brand - just this particular tool - two in a row didn't work as promised and the second one destroyed itself during the update.

Worked great. After rotating the tires on a 2022 Subaru Forester, the TPMS threw an error on the dashboard. I learned that Subarus don't automagically update the tire assignment after rotation, and the ECU doesn't even have a record of the 5th tire's (spare) TPMS. Sheesh. Dealerships (Stealerships?) will charge anywhere from $75 to $150 to update the ECU after a tire rotation. I figure I'll rotate the tires every six months, so buying a tool to update the TPMS assignment is a no-brainer. So I bought this device, updated it on the internet, confused myself reading the written instructions, then watched a YouTube video, went out the car and updated the ECU following the prompts on the screen. The actual time with the vehicle was about 7 minutes! I found the written instructions a bit confusing, but following the prompts on the actual device is easy-peasy.
