Worked great. After rotating the tires on a 2022 Subaru Forester, the TPMS threw an error on the dashboard. I learned that Subarus don't automagically update the tire assignment after rotation, and the ECU doesn't even have a record of the 5th tire's (spare) TPMS. Sheesh. Dealerships (Stealerships?) will charge anywhere from $75 to $150 to update the ECU after a tire rotation. I figure I'll rotate the tires every six months, so buying a tool to update the TPMS assignment is a no-brainer. So I bought this device, updated it on the internet, confused myself reading the written instructions, then watched a YouTube video, went out the car and updated the ECU following the prompts on the screen. The actual time with the vehicle was about 7 minutes! I found the written instructions a bit confusing, but following the prompts on the actual device is easy-peasy.

Got new winter tires with rims and TPMS. Wasn't sure how this would work, the instruction manual is ok but not the easiest to understand. Turned the unit on and found the vehicle, was able to run diagnostics easily to make sure the new sensors were active, and then used the update TPMS position program to program the new TPMS to the car (just follow the instructions on the unit). Worked on both a Toyota and a Chevy. Had to update the unit before using it which required installing a program to my computer from a Chinese company I've not heard of but I deleted it after and did a clean sweep on the computer so hopefully that's enough. Dealership wanted to charge $95 to program the TPMS each time the tires were switched, so $190/year plus tax for what ended up being 5 minutes of my time. This will pay for itself after 3 uses. Would definitely recommend.

I recently purchased a new set of tires and rims mounted and balanced with TPMS sensor from an online shop. So I knew I would need to activate the new sensors and saved them to the car's ECM. I originally purchased the TS401 only later realizing after some research that this particular unit does not allow me to save those new sensors IDs to the car's ECM. It can only read/activate the new sensors which work just fine on some cars, just not mine. So with Amazon's excellent service, I was able to cancel the original order before it was shipped and reorder the TS508 instead. After registering and updating the unit. I install my new set of wheels/tires on my Subaru, scrolled through the menu, and found two of the same model for my particular car, unsure what is the difference, I highlighted one and scan all the sensors but didn't get the options to save those sensors settings to the ECM. So when I tried again using the second model name and rescan all the sensors I was able to get the menu to instruct me to plug in the tool to the ODBII port and I was able to save those sensors settings and the dash warning light went away. A couple of minors nitpicks that does not effect the function of the scanner tool. I didn't get the hard case for the TS508 like in the description but got a smaller soft case instead. Also, I didn't get the round thing with the warning tape like on the images posted by other reviewers, which I assume sits on the front of the scanner to aid in directing the air valve/TPMS sensors in the right spot to scan. But even without it, the scanner worked perfectly.

I purchased this tool after I added 37s to my truck and needed to relearn all the new sensors that were shipped with the wheels and tires. The tool worked great in detecting the sensors (in my case these are ITM brand sensors). I had a problem with one of the new sensors which was not getting picked up (Turns out the shop I bought the wheels and tires from did not activate that sensor). I thought the tool would be able to active the sensor but unfortunately it only works on their brand of sensor (Autel MX sensors). I'm not sure if there is a tool out there that can activate all the sensor brands but I thought people should know that if you have or are planning to purchase MX brand sensors, then this tool is absolutely fantastic for that. If you have sensors which are already activated and want to read them, re-learn them then this tool is great for that also. Simple to use and supports pretty much all car manufacturers. I decided to keep this tool despite having ITM sensors with the knowledge that I will need MX branded sensors in the future for me to be able to use the full capability of this tool...

I bought this absolutely frustrated with what mechanics charge to replace your TPMS sensors. The sensors themselves are not very expensive and installation is pretty cheap. You can find a tire shop to do it for around $15 a tire. I was quoted $600 for 4 tires which I thought was crazy. I ended up buying the sensors online for $100 bucks total. The sensors were put in for $15 each at a local shop ($60 total) - they could not program themselves.. Even with this device around $200, I still saved money and will be able to do this myself going forward. This is so easy to update and use.

Worked perfect for tpms sensors i bought off amazon. Tire places said they couldn't help, and advised not to install the sensors. I had them installed, prograned myself with this programmer. Took me about 15 min to update the autel on the pc and 5 min to fix tpms light on my van.

This product got the job done on my 2023 GR86 with universal BHsens TPMS in aftermarket wheels. I'm happy to have this tool in my kit. However, there is very scant instructions and the user interface is pretty terrible. I would buy it again.
