  • Quick and easy TPMS diagnostic and programming
I purchased this as I needed to replace a TPMS sensor in my 2018 Subaru Outback. I had already purchased a complete set of replacement sensors for the car but needed to read the sensor IDs and then write them to the car's computer. The car was reporting that all 4 tires had low batteries which I found hard to believe that they all went out at the same time. The TP150 allowed me to read the factory sensors and see their individual power status. 3 of the sensors showed OK for power and the 4th wouldn't even register with the tool so I started with that wheel. I popped the bead on the tire and replaced the sensor that was bad. Once I had the tire back on the vehicle I fired up the TP150. It walked me through the proper order of which tire to read based on the image of a car on the screen. Once I had read all 4 sensors, the TP150 walked me through connecting to the OBDII port and write the new sensor IDs to the car. I was also able to read any codes that were still active in the cars computer, and luckily they were gone. The unit included a USB C charging cable, power brick, OBD II cable, and detailed instructions. The tool can be set to display pressure in multiple units and the temperature in imperial or metric. There is also support for auto power-off. The list of supported vehicles is extensive. The are broken down by American, Asian, and European and then alphabetical order making it easy to locate your make and model. The instructions do tell you to update your unit when you receive it and there is Windows software from their website that allows you to do this quickly. I decided to do the update over wifi from the unit itself since I didn't have a Windows device readily available. This is a slow process that takes at least an hour. Unfortunately , I left the unit unattended and the battery died before finishing the update which bricked the unit. I contacted XTool support and they responded within a few hours on how to resurrect the device. I found a WIndows computer, formatted the TP150 as fat32, and ran the update utility from their website which loaded the newest software. I'm looking forward to trying the programmable XTool TPMS sensors the next time I need to replace a sensor on our other vehicles. ... show more

  • Nice tool
Great tool, little learning curve to use, but its great. I used it to sync up my 2013 Highlander new TPMS sensors. It worked great. It solves the tpms light on the dash, so you dont have to rake it to a shop for them to do it. Saves money.

  • Xtools tp150 TPMS utility-Very nice and affordable
This tool does the whole job. Very easy to use. If using Xtools TPMS sensor, you can reprogram them. Diagnostic tool is easy and straight forward to use. You can generate codes for up to 8 sensors at a time. I programmed Xtools sensors for a Silverado but ended up reprogramming them in a Chevy Cruze with absolutely no problems at all. If you need support assistance, their support is superb. I was in contact Carina, and she was extremely helpful and very willing to help. ... show more

  • Worked for my 2017 Prius
I used the XTool to identify which sensors needed replacement. One pitfall is that the XTool might pick-up a signal from the sensor on the opposite side of the car. When you check a sensor by holding the Xtool next to it, the sensor ID should register within a few seconds. If the sensor is dead and you wait long enough, it'll pick up the opposite sensor. The XTool will flag the fact that 2 tires have the same sensor ID, so you'll know that one of them is dead. It's just a bit confusing which one needs replacing. With practice, I figured out how quickly a sensor ID should appear in order to identify the bad one. I bought OEM replacement sensors (Denso) which have pre-programmed IDs. The XTool was able to "relearn" the new IDs into my Prius' computer via the OBD port and clear the flashing tire light. Although the XTool seems pricey for what it does, it's well worth it. The cost of the tool is the same as paying for one TPMS sensor replacement at a car shop. Now I can replace any sensor myself, for just the cost of the sensor itself. ... show more

  • Not comparable and cheap parts that don't work!
This TPMS tool is not working out. I bought the tool along with the recommended sensors from the same company. After programmed and had professional tires shop install cost me $80 plus the cost of sensors $75. The light stayed on after multiple attempts of relearn and deactivated. I drove over 10 mph for 2 days and proceeded with relearn success indicated, still the same. I even went further to replaced all 4 speed sensors. Nothing changed. I did not return their sensors because it will cost me another $80 to take them out. The Toyota TPMS sensors cost about $85 each with programmed. I have to wait for a money to fix this problem. I had Autel Max Sensors in 2009 Toyota Tundra. They last for about a year. So, I replaced them with this Company. Worthless, after I save up some money, I will buy the Toyota TPMS. These after market parts, nothing but cost and headache! ... show more
