Update: replaced faulty SRS module, was able to clear SRS error code using this tool. Upgraded rating to 5 star. Apparently SRS module appeared to be working and communicating but somehow faulty. This resulted in confusing error message on Autel screen about "this function not implemented". In fact, the message was because of faulty SRS module. It is rare that SRS module itself malfunctions, but it happens sometimes. After I replaced SRS module with a known good SRS module this tester was immediately able to clear SRS error code. So, if you see the message on he screen as in attached photo, your SRS module may be faulty. This tester refuses to clear SRS airbag error codes on a Volvo C70 2008. I used it successfully to read error codes (DTCs) and clear many different error codes on a Mazda Protege 2001 (a free download software for this tester for one car make) and a Volvo C70 2008 ( after additional Volvo software download for this tester purchased for 10 dollars on Autel website) . I downloaded latest firmware upgrades for this tester from Autel website as of April 2019. However, this tester refuses to clear SRS airbag error codes on a Volvo C70 2008. When trying to clear SRS airbag DTCs the error message on the screen of this tester says "The selected function is not supported at the moment". I also tried to select the type of car manually: year 2006 to 2008 Volvo C70, C30, S40, V50, all of which have the same SRS system controller. The result was always the same: read codes, read current state is successful, but Erase Codes function is not working. This makes me think this tester will not work for clearing SRS airbag error message on ANY of the year 2006 and later Volvo models. This is a major disappointment, because this means I need to purchase a different tool just to clear SRS airbag error codes. Product description clearly states that it should work for SRS system. It works only for READING SRS codes on this model of a car, NOT for clearing SRS codes. Major disappointment because of that. It is a well made tool that has many useful functions, is easy to use, and may be helpful for some other cars, but just this one wrongly advertised function which in fact is not yet implemented for 2006+ Volvos will cost me a whole different tool to buy. This tester is a useful tool, but with a major flaw not described in the product description. There may be other flaws too. Therefore, I cannot recommend this tester as it will be a hit or miss purchase if you hope to use all its advertised functions. ... show more

    • Paid for itself the first time I used in on my Volvo S60 SRS Airbag message.
Unless you are a fellow Volvo owner you will not understand how frustrating the "error messages" can be after installing an after market stereo. The inferior Volvo radio plays a role in the on board system diagnostic computer. Simple things like not disconnecting the battery in the correct order causes error messages to appear. The most recent one was due to the tire shop trying to reset the tire pressure monitoring message to clear after replacing a flat tire. The shop disconnected the battery with the key in the ON position resulting in an SRS airbag urgent message. In the past the local Volvo dealership would charge $130 just to hook up their diagnostic tool. Needless to say this code reader paid for itself the first time I used it today. Software installation and update went fine. Although others have recommended removing the SD card from the unit and inserting it directly into a card reader on the computer I left it in the unit and it loaded just fine. The one thing worth mentioning is the loading software does take a bit longer than one would anticipate. I thought it was hung up and almost unhooked it because it was taking so long. Worked perfectly to reset the oil light and service intervals on my Porsche. Took a bit of messing around to get the update program to work (and seems kinda sketchy) but it all worked in the end. Now I don’t have to pay the dealer to reset the codes.

I bought this diagnostic scanner for my 2012 Volvo. It works very well on that car, I really like this portable and easy-to-use machine. This diagnostic scan tool, looks like a large cell phone with a 2.8-inch TFT color display. The screen is not very big but is enough to display the diagnose result and the diagnostic trouble codes. The classic appearance design with red and black makes me feel professional. When I first saw it in the flesh, I found it is really a beautiful scan tool, not like the Foxwell which features an orange and black appearance. When speaking of its functions, here I want to tell you the advantages and the disadvantages of this machine. After 12-month using, I think I am a practical user who have more knowledge than people just get the machine for a shot time. PROS: 1.Reads and clears the diagnostic trouble codes fast and accurately; really good ay the OBD basic diagnosing functions 2.Turn off check engine light while the light comes on with no problem of the engine 3.Reset the oil service mileage, support oil service maintenance to save your time and money spent on the engine oil 4.Reset the EPB, open and closes the brake pads to solve simple problems 5.Carries four systems, can diagnose the problems in the included systems: ABS, SRS, Engine and Transmission 6.Provides users with DIY service that is to buy the software which is suitable for you car 7.Carries a wide coverage of car models and makes to ensure using range 8.Really suitable for home use and for the small-size auto workshop CONS: Only carries free software for one car make, software for other car makes sold $10 for each To sum up, this is a really convenient diagnostic scan tool with comprehensive functions. ... show more

After Bluedriver & Jdiag FIASCO, ended up with this tool, what a difference!! this thing really works. If you want some useless but pretty lights in your phone you can buy the bluetooth garbage. If you need something that actually can read SRS codes Autel Diaglink is the way.
