This is for home use so not used daily. Very easy to learn. Had to reset a Service Soon light on my Audi, simple to find the proper way without using YouTube! I'm quite happy with this scanner once you learn how to navigate it, and the functions have been quite useful. Sure it would be nice to have some ecu programming functions but that's for the alot more expensive models

I purchased this tool after receiving a response from AutelDirect for compatibility and valuable insights for my 2022 Porsche Macan. They exceeded my expectations with near real-time replies and meaningful instructions. I have multiple vehicles from Ford and Dodge as well that this scanner has current diagnostic capabilities for. Autel has an amazing catalog of vehicles and functions preloaded, with available updates, in the MaxiCheck MX808S. It can interface with more makes and models far exceeding scanners I have from other makers. They saved me more than the price of the tool alone in just the first service interval for my Porsche. Dealer service would have been required to update the service interval and oil life at a cost greater than Autel's scanner sells for. Just call a Porsche dealer and check the price of an oil change, you'll be surprised... I highly recommend Autel for your scanner needs! ... show more

Lots of software for chinese vehicles very limited and outdated for the few American trucks it covers. very few functional tests if any. Mis identifies vin numbers and tells you it has a cummings when it has an international engine and no was of changing. Now the best part is the scanner shuts off 360 days form date of purchase and is unusable until you bribe autel to turn it back on for the tune of $1000. for another year. Buy a used Snap on you wont be disappointed it keeps working as it should years later., ... show more

    • Pro-level Scanner Affordable Enough for DIY

This scanner can read codes for check engine, ABS, and Air Bags for a long list of brands and models of cars. So far I've used it to diagnose and repair an airbag light on a late model mini van and an ABS autobleed on an older jeep. This unit can also clear codes, so you can see if a problem has been fixed. It is pricey for DIY, but less than one repair bill at a shop, so not too bad if you look at it that way. Also the customer service and tech support is very responsive. I emailed a couple of questions and both times they responded the next day. I recommend the unit and would buy again. ... show more
