My cat loves this. She has another she's not interested in. I think its the sound the ball makes when it's rolling around. She also likes to grab and pull on the hedgehog guy. I took off 1 star because I had to hot glue the spring into it's hole.

I was a little underwhelmed by this toy, and so were my cats. It is a bit smaller compared to some of the other options available. The cardboard scratcher is 9.25-9.5 inches in diameter. For reasons I still can’t quite figure out, the ball does not seem to roll as well as expected. The plastic part of the toy isn’t totally flat, so the ball tends to go one direction, and either the ball or the track is a bit uneven, so it seems to lose momentum quickly. My cats love the scratcher, but they’re indifferent to the ball part. ... show more
