    • So far has been a good affordable live center
Had to get a better live center than what came with my Nova Comet II. Mainly because the center was short and stubby and I did not like it...wanted a revolving center portion that protruded further from the chuck face. The stock comet one is pretty close to the chuck face. This one, by looks, fit the bill and turned out so far to work just fine. Obviously not a heavy duty workhorse center but neither is the price. I do turn probably 4 days a week so it does get use so we will see how it holds up and mainly that would be the bearing. On my Comet stock center this has, in 6 weeks of use, started to whine. Not sure what more one can say about a live center...at this point it has been great especially at the price. Should it fall short over time I would update the review ... show more

Product looks great unfortunately when you spin center bearings are not smooth . It’s like there are uneven bearings in the 60 degree center.
