  • I Set the Actuation Once and Stopped Thinking About It
Color: Black
I came to this from a mechanical board and the adjustable actuation is the thing I did not expect to care about. Setting how far a key travels before it registers sounds like a spec sheet feature. In practice I set the movement keys shallow so they trigger almost instantly, left the rest deeper so I stop catching them by accident, and have not touched it since. One session to dial in, and it changed how the board feels under my hands. Rapid trigger is the part that shows up in play. On a mechanical switch you have to lift a key most of the way before it can fire again. Here it resets the moment I start lifting, so counter strafing and quick repeated inputs land when I meant them rather than a fraction late. I noticed it immediately going back and forth with my old board. Three connection modes cover everything I do with it. Wired at the desk, the dongle when I want wireless without latency, Bluetooth for a laptop. Switching is a keystroke and it remembers what it was paired to rather than making me redo it. Two honest notes. First, sixty percent means no arrow cluster, no function row and no number pad, all of it on a layer instead. I adapted within a few sessions and I still reach for arrow keys when I am working rather than gaming, so know what you are giving up. Second, battery life depends heavily on what you turn on. With the lighting bright and polling at the top setting it drains noticeably faster, and dimming the RGB roughly doubles what I get from it. Next to my old mechanical board, the adjustability and the reset behavior are the real differences and I feel both rather than just reading about them. Next to a full size keyboard, I gained desk room and mouse swing and lost keys I use for work. Best for someone playing competitively who wants to tune actuation, or anyone with a small desk willing to learn a layer. If you use arrow keys and a number pad daily for work, get a larger layout. ... show more

  • Compact and precise, but missing some needed keys
Color: Black
The Aula Hero 68 XS is a solid choice for gamers who need a compact keyboard with responsive switches. I’ve used it for several hours of competitive FPS sessions, and the Hall Effect switches feel noticeably precise—though they do have a slightly tactile, clicking sound that’s louder than I expected. The battery life is impressive; I’ve gone through three full gaming sessions without needing to recharge, and the 6000mAh battery holds up well. After three days of usage without lights it was still fully charged. The RGB lighting is customizable, but I found the colors don’t sync with SignalRGB, which was a minor annoyance. The 60% layout is great for saving desk space, but I had to adjust to using Fn+Ctrl+number for the F keys, which took some getting used to. The 60% layout is compact so I had to rely on shortcuts, which isn’t a dealbreaker but might be inconvenient for some. Pros I like: • Hall Effect switches offer precise, consistent actuation • Long battery life with tri-mode connectivity (wired, 2.4G, BT5.3) • RGB lighting is fully customizable with preloaded esports profiles • Quiet build with noise-canceling foam and aluminum base Cons/Notes: • 60% layout may feel cramped for users unfamiliar with compact keyboards • No built-in media controls; requires keyboard shortcuts for volume, playback, etc. • Lights don’t sync with SignalRGB software, though this is easily overlooked It’s a premium keyboard for those who prioritize portability and precision, but the lack of media keys and the learning curve for the compact layout might not suit everyone. Worth it if you’re okay with the trade-offs. ... show more

  • Sooooo cool :D
Color: Black
Setting up this 60% compact layout, the magnetic Hall Effect switches give impressive rapid trigger responsiveness with smooth, linear key travel. The adjustable actuation lets you tune keypress sensitivity down to tight tolerances, which works well for fast-paced gaming inputs. The small frame saves substantial desk space, though losing dedicated arrow keys and the function row forces heavy reliance on function layer shortcuts. The attached fabric side strap feels like an odd, unnecessary gimmick on a desktop board, and the translucent keycap accents give the plastic chassis a slightly flashy look. The unit carries noticeable heft due to the large 6000mAh battery inside, keeping it anchored on the desk while tri-mode wireless switching stays stable across 2.4GHz and Bluetooth connections. At $73.99, getting magnetic Hall Effect switches, dual 8K polling, and a 6000mAh battery in a wireless board is aggressively competitive on paper. Most high-end magnetic keyboards featuring rapid trigger tech cost well over a hundred dollars, making this price point an easy entry into custom actuation settings. The real test of value comes down to long-term software stability and switch calibration accuracy, as budget companion software can be finicky to configure. For a feature-packed wireless gaming board, the awkward aesthetic choices do not diminish the raw hardware specs provided at this price point. It stands out as a solid, high-performance budget option despite the minor cosmetic quirks. ... show more

  • Unique design and color schema, hall effect switches are smooth, vibrant RGB
Color: Black
This is my second AULA Hero 68, and I already own the HE version, so I had a pretty good idea what to expect. The Hero 68 XS keeps a lot of the same gaming-focused functionality in a compact 60% layout, and it makes a very good travel keyboard if you like something small without giving up wireless connectivity or customization. The main thing to understand is that this is definitely aimed at gamers. The styling is anything but subtle, with the open-frame design, translucent keycaps, RGB lighting, and additional light accents giving it a very distinctive look. I like it, but someone wanting a plain office keyboard will probably find it a little much. The 60% layout also means giving up dedicated function and navigation keys, so there is a learning curve if you are coming from a full-size board. Like the other Hero 68 I have, this is a Hall effect keyboard using magnetic switches, and the responsiveness is excellent. The XS supports adjustable actuation and rapid trigger settings down to a claimed 0.005 mm, along with 8K polling over both wired and 2.4 GHz wireless connections. I am not going to pretend I can personally distinguish every tiny increment in those settings, but the board feels extremely quick and responsive for gaming. Being able to tune actuation and rapid trigger behavior is much more useful than having one fixed switch response, especially for FPS games. Connectivity is also a strong point. It supports Bluetooth 5.3, 2.4 GHz wireless, and wired USB, with the ability to store several devices. The 6000 mAh battery is large for a keyboard this size and makes the wireless functionality much more practical for travel or moving between systems. AULA also provides a web-based configuration tool for adjusting key mapping, macros, RGB effects, polling behavior, and Hall effect settings without installing a traditional software. Typing quality is better than I would normally expect from a flashy budget gaming board. The aluminum plate and internal foam keep it from sounding overly hollow, and the stabilizers on mine feel reasonably well tuned. The switches are also hot-swappable, which adds some longevity if one eventually fails or if you simply want to experiment with compatible magnetic switches later. AULA has become one of my favorite budget keyboard brands because they tend to put a lot of functionality into their boards without pushing the price into enthusiast territory. The Hero 68 XS follows that pattern. It is compact, responsive, highly configurable, and visually distinctive. If you specifically want a 60% Hall effect gaming keyboard and like the aggressive RGB-heavy appearance, the performance and feature set make the value easy to justify. ... show more

  • Compact Hall Effect keyboard with a lot of performance
Color: Black
The Aula Hero 68 XS is a very capable little keyboard for anyone who wants a compact layout without giving up fast gaming performance. The Hall Effect switches feel smooth and responsive, and the 60% size frees up a lot of desk space. Wireless connectivity is convenient, the build feels solid, and the overall design looks much more premium than a basic budget gaming board. A good option for gaming or a clean minimalist desk setup. ... show more

  • Great Performance & Appearance
Color: Black
I ordered the keyboard for travel. The size of the keyboard makes it very convenient to pack for travel. The keyboard looks and feels quality made. It is durable and feels solid. The construction makes it ergonomic and comfortable to use for long gaming sessions or typing. The keys are quiet and have excellent response. I like having the wireless or wired option. The response time when used on Bluetooth is impressive. If your looking for a high performance keyboard for travel or mobility, the low price makes it a great value. I definitely recommend it for a great low budget keyboard. ... show more

  • Awesome 60% keyboard - great for travel
Color: Black
I had been in need of a durable and short mechanical keyboard. This one here is perfect. Its length is the same as a slim 2in1 laptop so it fits perfect in a laptop backpack. With Bluetooth it connected real quick and no issues. In a dark room the keyboard looks really cool with the lights. The only downside is the keys are hard to tell if you don’t know where the keys are. It took about a day to get used to key size and arrangement. Easy to type on and fast responsiveness. Keyboard stayed put as well and didn’t slide around. Charging cable included as well. Awesome keyboard and I would have expected it to cost well over $100. Definitely would recommend and would definitely buy this one again. ... show more

  • High quality keyboard!
Color: Black
This wireless gaming keyboard is a solid and well made board! Supports Bluetooth, wireless through a dongle, and wired giving you a good range of connection options for any device. Battery life holds up well on both Bluetooth and wireless. Response time is impressive even on Bluetooth and wireless with an 8000hz polling rate which is great for gaming. RGB lighting adds a nice look to it. Comes with a removable carrying strap which is a unique addition although I am not entirely sure when you would actually need to carry a keyboard by a strap. Minor curiosity aside it is a really solid and versatile keyboard that works well across any device. Overall a great pick for anyone wanting a reliable wireless gaming keyboard! ... show more
