This is a great little oscilloscope! Pleasantly surprised with how much I can do with such a small amount of money for such a basic single-channel scope. I ran some tests using a 555 in monostable, astable and an astable PWM circuit (pulse width modulation.) I had no problems picking up my input or output trigger pulse in monostable mode, astable worked great as did viewing the PWM. The signals on pin 2 and pin 3 of the 555 were as they should be on all circuits. The alligator clip connectors it comes with are fine for beginners and basic stuff, hooking a normal BNC connector probe works great as well. The only issues I ran into were things get a little glitchy when you're viewing things at really large time divisions (i.e. 20s or the max of 500s per division...but I don't think I've ever really used any scope in that range) and I also had to trim a little bit of the molded rubber off the power cable so it would properly reach all the way in.. All in all, very with happy with the purchase! Look into a longer cord power cord or convert it to battery power as the cable is short, but none of these would prevent me from purchasing it again or returning it. You CAN adjust the horizontal and vertical position of the line (has a fast and slow pan mode for each axis), the DC filter for AC mode works great, the duty cycle, Peak voltage, frequency, etc. are quite accurate as well. Will be great for portable use and/or 95% of the time when you really don't need to have out your main scope. I got the fully assembled version, as the price difference wasn't enough to worry about assembling anything. Just remember to read the instructions and/or find a good tutorial so you can see everything it is actually capable of. Great purchase!

I was getting into electronics and thought an oscilloscope would help. This thing got me up and running and was an awesome tool for my needs. It worked as advertised. However, it is a sub $50 scope. Compared to almost anything else it's junk. The buttons and interface are clunky, the build quality is so-so, and the screen is tiny. That being said it works and it was a small investment to explore a new hobby. I am glad I bought this thing and recommend it to anyone with curiosity and a few bucks to spend. Just be ready for this to be your "first" scope, you will quickly want something better.

LOL this little guy really did the job for my use, zero issues and worked great !! Other than the small size its a nice little unit for audio gain setting for sure, wish they had made it go to 50 volts on the settings but worked well.

Used this to tune my mono block amp and it worked great. The 9v battery attachment didn't work but the attachment for an outlet worked fine

Didn’t realize this was based on a kit by JYETECH and The kit gets counterfeited a lot. I couldn’t get mine to calibrate and I wasn’t getting any readings. Thought it was warming up so I opened it I realized the voltage regulator was smoking. Eventually it wouldn’t not boot any more after an attempt to use different power sources. This isn’t the through-hole version of the kit so it would be difficult to replace that IC. Whomp. I purchased this in Mar and just got around to using it for a project

Not bad for a cheap handheld oscilloscope but it's just a pre-assembled DIY kit thats been around for a while -- the construction is rather fragile and you may need to tighten the screws down -- all-in-all not a terrible starter oscilloscope that requires an external power source (make sure the barrel jack actually fits!) but at least it uses a standard BNC connector (which is somewhat loose). The lack of upgradable firmware is annoying as most models nowadays -- even cheap ones-- have this feature.

Hi, Upon receiving the product, honestly I encounter a minute of embarrassment. A valuable feedback from an user told me that the tiny scope worked! I realized that it was true. However a graphic by myself may help. Just consider the 4 funstion buttons and an ADJUST button (below). Simplified description (actually the attached document tells much in an expert's language, a bit confusing): V/DIV select - sensitivity SEC/DIV alone: select, blue cursor (sensitivity control) SEC/DIV + TRIGGER: save TRIGGER OK: ON/OFF function; hold for 3 seconds ADJ turn to adjust according to selected function ADJ + SEC/DIV: save ADJ +TRIGGER: recall waveform I am learning while I am using it. Thank you for the product.
