  • Great value
Size: 9003/H4(Hi/Lo)
This Aukee H4 LED is my third kit I've installed in my 2011 Tacoma. It seems each brand and design has a few good features and some not so good. I first drew an outline of my original halogen lights on my garage door (over a strip of painter's paper) to be able to dial in the lights with the new kit. I then installed the LED's without the dust cover to speed things up and do a final tuning. The aim didn't change after the new bulbs were placed in and overlapped my drawing of the halogen lights perfectly. So far, so good. I then took the truck for a test drive and made a few minor adjustments to get a good beam pattern on road without blinding the oncoming traffic. I had my son in a car on the opposite side of the road to let me know if he was seeing any glare. Overall, the light pattern was acceptable with a few faint dark spots here and there. I can live with it at this price range, vs. the $90 HIKARI, which I sent back. I then tried to install the dust covers and that's when the trouble started. I was able to force the driver side on (the picture), but the passenger side wouldn't budge. Unfortunately, I ended up damaging my headlight housing in the process. So, what lessons did we learn here? When you order this part, order a pair of after market dust covers made for LED and HID upgrades. You have to know the dimensions of your original boots and find a matching one on Amazon and there are millions of them. The aftermarket covers allow the fan to breath and cool down the circuitry. I'm working on getting mine. In the meanwhile, I pushed back a little bit of the cover to get a little air in there. Back to the lights...they are very bright and I like the color temperature (6000K), the same as HIKARI. I tried another set before this one which was advertised as 6500K and I found it to be too blue and faint on the road. The reflection of road signs from the 6500K bulbs was obnoxious and even distracting. They went back as well. The other nice feature of this light is the quiet fan. I can hardly hear them. The worst was HIKARI which sounded like an old buzzing house fan. Overall, for the price, features, light pattern and minimal dark spots, I found these to be near ideal. ... show more

  • Difficult but possible to install in 95 Toyota Previa
Size: 9003/H4(Hi/Lo)
Toyota Previas have 2 different headlight versions depending on the year - 91-93 had one version which has a decent youtube video on installing aftermarket LED lamps, but 94-97 have different setup and I couldn't really find any reports or anything online. I ordered these and was able to get them installed but it was quite difficult to get the stock clips properly wrapped around the bulbs due to the heatsink protrusion compared to the standard bulbs. To make things worse, there's really not much room to work with, especially the passenger side, at least on my SC model that has the battery on said side. I don't have a ton of experience with headlights specifically but it took my dad and I, both mechanically-inclined people, numerous, seemingly hopeless attempts with various tools and techniques to finally get the clips in place. We had to slightly bend the stock clip on the passenger side for it to get enough purchase on the mount to stay in place. All-in-all it was quite difficult and at multiple points I almost gave up and considered manufacturing my own mount to replace the stock clips. I still might do that if they don't stay in place, I have a feeling a good pothole might knock one or both of them out of place. If it provides any indication as to my confidence in these replacements, I am keeping the standard bulbs and dust covers in the car in case things go awry. I've just installed them for now and they are working for both low and high beam, and once adjusted the color and throw is noticeably superior to the standard bulbs. I'll update my review if there are any issues with longevity or if people start flashing their high beams at me at night. ... show more

  • May need to adjust after install, but great bulbs overall from Aukee
Size: 9003/H4(Hi/Lo)
They are great bulbs. I have gotten some bad batch of these led bulbs that went bad so that's why I gave 4-star. The customer service warranty is great though. They gave me replacement after going through some troubleshooting steps to make sure the bulb was faulty. This keeps me as a returning customer for the Aukee brand LED headlight bulbs. You do have to adjust a bit after installing so you don't blind people while driving. ... show more

  • Bright white light but horrible for radio
Size: 9012/HIR2
This is on a 2014 ram with projector headlights. While the light is bright and white which looks like daylight, true actual hid color, even with installing several different style of can buses it's still has bad static every time you turn the headlights on through the radio. Nothing I have tried has fixed it so if you don't use a radio or use a radio that has very very strong signal it would be great for you. But if your signal is so so do not buy this product. ... show more
