Description

The AT-LP70X fully automatic belt-drive turntable is designed for budding vinylphiles – those who love the engaged, real-world experience of listening to records, from flipping through albums at the record store, to placing a record on the turntable, cueing the tonearm, and sitting back with the album art in hand to enjoy warm, analog music as the artist intended. Arguably, the most important component for generating high-fidelity audio from vinyl is a quality phono cartridge. Audio-Technica has been a leader in phono cartridge design for more than 60 years, and we’ve drawn on that expertise to create a versatile, high-performance cartridge for this turntable – performance that other turntables in this class simply can’t match. Integrated into the J-shaped tonearm, the AT-VM95C cartridge with 0.6 conical stylus offers excellent channel separation and low distortion for outstanding tonal quality. And the stylus can also be easily upgraded with any of the other styli (elliptical, microlinear, or Shibata) in our VM95 Series, offering customization that is normally only possible on a turntable with a detachable headshell and cartridge. The easy-to-use AT-LP70X plays both 33-1/3 and 45 RPM records and, with its built-in switchable phono preamp, can be connected directly to a home stereo, powered speakers, computer and other components, whether they have a dedicated phono input or not. The three-piece, anti- resonance chassis provides a solid foundation that dampens unwanted noise for improved sound quality. Noise is further reduced by the inclusion of an AC adapter that moves the AC/DC conversion outside of the chassis to limit its impact on the signal chain.

  • The Turntable We Seek ⭐
Color: Black/Bronze
Audio Technica AT - LP70X Turntable is a really nice one! It was easy to put together in assembly that is the platter and the belt around the brass head motor. This phono graph is really worth it as it runs smoothly too and I like the part that lifts off the tonearm off the record near the base. I also like the start button - one push and your set for one side of the LP! I use the phono line w/ground to my receiver. It doesn't have Bluetooth Capabilities in it. The player 'built in amp' needs a sincere boost, I have turn up my receiver near the mark of 35 to have decent sound from the turntable. The player works great as far with the 33-1/3 rd speed so far. The cover sits really nice on the player. The like the bronze tone color. There's a switch on the back with two nice RCA jacks with the AC Adapter connector too that adapter is included with the product. Right now I am playing my turntable and trying to decipher which is better LP or CD audio output?! The player runs nice a quiet with no rumble so far. It's a very nice player. I am not disappointed! It is recommended. ... show more

  • Great entry point for the aspiring audiophile.
Color: Black/Bronze
I am relatively new to vinyl collecting. I did a lot of research before deciding on this specific model. I chose this model because it is the happy medium between quality and convenience. As you get into more expensive turntables, you get higher quality parts like adjustable counterweights for dialing in the arm pressure, upgradable cartridges, etc, but you lose features like automation. A lot of more expensive turntables don't even automatically stop when the record is done. I know myself well enough to know I would not be observant enough to be ready manually raise the arm the moment the record is done. This one is fully automatic and sounds great. The stylus itself can be replaced but not the cartridge that holds the stylus. This cartridge is built in, but is a high quality. Another reason I went with this model is that it has RCA jacks, not built in cables, so you can use quality rca cables. It also has a proper grounding screw to ground it to your amp or preamp to eliminate noise. It also has a built in preamp that you can turn off if you are running it into an amp that has a built in preamp (it has dedicated phono jacks) or you are running an external preamp or you can turn the built in preamp on if you are running it straight into powered speakers that don't have a preamp. Anyway, if you are just getting started on researching turntables and are looking for the middle ground between quality and convenience, this is the one for you. ... show more

  • Good Turntable
Color: Black/Bronze
Nice turntable. It is a little lighter weight than I was expecting, but when placed on a solid stable surface there is no rumble or other noise. It plays my records just fine. Ease of use: easy setup .

  • Listen to reviews
Color: Black/Bronze
Listen to the reviews. Yes it is beautiful and somewhat affordable. But, it will start skipping and there is no way to adjust the arm. Amazon was kind and let me return it, but wasn’t worth it. Get one of these with the tonearm, or, a different brand all together. We got a fluance and (although more expensive) has been amazing. ... show more

  • A very nice turntable for the price.
Color: Black/Bronze
I'm very satisfied with this player so far, but reading the other reviews, I'm a little nervous. For me, great sound, smooth, sleek appearance, simple, straight forward operation, a pro item for the money. As of this moment, I would highly recommend. So much better than the little suitcase players that flooded the market ... show more

  • Exactly What I Was Looking For UPDATE: SKIPS!
Color: Black/Bronze
This is a great turntable for anyone who wants a no fuss way to play records. No aligning cartridges, measuring tone arm force and balance. Just plug and play. My records have never sounded better! The automatic operation is quick and gentle, it’s a very responsive system. I also like that you have lots of stylus to choose from…starting with blue, it sounds good, but I will try others and see how the sound changes. Overall very happy! Update…now that I’ve owned it for a little while…it skips…a lot. It skips on records that never skipped on my old JVC. It skips on records that are brand new. I switched to the red microlinear stylus and this did not help. Old records, new records…it skips. Frustrating, but I do like the sound so I will try to fix it. UPDATE: sent it back to Audio Technica for warranty repair. They didn’t have the parts so they just sent me a AT-LP120 instead. I suspect the design for the LP70 is just flawed. ... show more
