    • It's $50, be realistic.
First thing; only reason for 4 star.. the amp does get pretty hot, and I don't see a ton of vents or heat-sinks on it, so I'm a little concerned about that. (btw, this is for the 2-channel '1600W' class a/b amp in case this review gets shoved into a bucket of reviews for several different amps.. the r900 something-or-other). Now then... The amp is $50, the docs it comes with gives more realistic power-output levels. I have no reason to doubt those. The crap on the box about 1600W is marketing garbage. Yes, it is dumb that they do that. Did anyone really expect a $50 amp to push out 1600W? C'mon, Man!! lol Maybe it puts out 1600W at 10% distortion at some ridiculously high frequency that only rats can hear... and that's how the company 'technically' gets away with the claim. Who.Cares. You bought a $50 amp.. again, be realistic... I got it knowing it would put out maybe 150W bridged, and it seems to do that. I am fine with that. 'Back in the day' an amp that would put out 150W cost 5 times this one, and adjusted for inflation.. more than that even. I installed it yesterday, it works. It did not blow up yet, but it's only been a day. I'm not pushing crazy levels... I set the gain below 1/2 to match the output-levels of the headunit. My 'system' is pretty basic and I just needed something to push a small 8" sub to fill out bottom end. I'm not trying to shake windows... if you are, try harder... save up more $. So, at this point, the amp does what I expected. It was shipped to my door in like 2 days. I have no real complaints (other than my concern about venting and heat, and time will tell on that and I'll update the review if need be). ... show more

Ok so when i connected it over a year ago it never worked. I assumed i wired something wrong and i was too lazy to figure out what. Recently I finally got around to fixing it and it turns out nothing is wired wrong. The amp just doesn’t put out power to the speaker. I probed the speaker outputs and they read 0. ... show more
