I bought this light for our condo kitchen and it fits perfectly alongside the rest of my kitchen colors (dark-colored cabinets. counters, with stainless steel appliances. My kitchen is not big at all so the brightness is perfect PLUS with the color temperature switch it works right (I currently have it the 4000K temp). The only thing that keeps this from being a 5-star is that the manufacturer did NOT drill holes for the inner mounting option. Not sure if you can see it or not in the pic - but I could not get it truly flush to the ceiling due to having to utilize the outer mounting holes for the canopy. I needed to install it as I had already took the original out before realizing the inner mounting holes were not drilled (my mistake). I will have to take it all apart and drill holes for the inner mounting option on the black canopy. Not a big deal BUT something I did not expect to have to do. ... show more

We had the old white mushroom light in the stairs that lead to our basement. I liked this light because it gives it a more modern look without losing functionality. The ceiling is a little low in the stairwell, so we needed a close to the ceiling here. It surprised me that the cover was made of glass rather than plastic like similar led lights. The cover twists on and off pretty easily, so you can change the brightness without having to use any tools. I've attached pictures, of our old light and this new one. No instructions were included, but install is the same as any other light fixture. Currently $65 for this light, which I feel is priced similar to comparable light fixtures.
