I was leary about buying a piece of furniture online never having done it before. I had been looking for a particular size and color recliner in regular stores and hadn’t been able to come close to what I needed. But this chair is almost perfect! I was so impressed with the way this product was packaged! It came in a strong reinforced box that even had plastic surrounded handholds, and it was covered by a very nice piece of gauze cloth for protection. It was extraordinarily easy to put together, and like others have mentioned in other reviews I’ve read, only takes about five or 10 minutes to put the back on. I primarily wanted the chair for my bedroom… Not a nursery!… I wanted specifically a recliner, and was afraid it might not be comfortable for actually laying my head back. However, it is perfect! I am 5’9”and I have complete comfort when sitting in the chair with my head laying directly against the back. The size is perfect If you don’t want a gigantic old-fashioned size recliner. It is very comfortable and I even ended up sleeping in it one night. It is exactly as advertised. EXCEPT, and this will be important to some people, I specifically wanted a white shade, i.e., white, ivory, or cream. It states that it is ivory, and the picture shows it as white.HOWEVER, it is none of those colors. instead it is a soft beige. I was very disappointed in this as my bedroom is all white. I am not going to send it back because it fits my other requirements entirely. Although, I am very disappointed in the color because of all my all white theme, it is still a lovely shade. Great chair!

Just received our chair in the ivory color for our nursery. So far we are extremely pleased with this purchase! “Assembly” was simply sliding the back onto the base, which took us 10 seconds. The color is beautiful. Seat is soft and has a little bit of firmness, which we are hoping will make it durable. I am 5’4 and my husband is 6’4, and we can each fit comfortably in the chair. We debated about the manual versus electronic glider for weeks due to pricing, and I’m so glad we went manual. It has all the things we are looking for in our nursery for a decent price point. The chair was packaged great for shipping, but the box was too large to fit through our door. We had to bring it inside in the two different pieces. Our only “con” so far is when you are putting the footrest back down, it makes a loud click (not perfect for a sleeping baby). However, if you hold down the handle on the manual recline when you close it, it’s silent. Totally doable! We can’t wait to put this chair to good use!

I ordered this manual glider to replace my 15 year old wood glider. I was so excited to receive this glider and can’t wait to see if my expectations will be met over time. My little one loves contact nap rocking and does not easily transfer to a stationary seat on the couch or bed. I had searched around and usually don’t like buying online without being able to physically see/feel/sit on furniture, but I had seen some Mommas on Instagram recommending the upgraded version of these gliders and raved about them. I decided to give it a go and ordered the manual version. I am hoping this chair will hold up to daily use of rocking and napping for my baby, while still being comfortable to relax and put my feet up. Time will tell, and I will update my review if the performance doesn’t meet the expectations and reviews I have/read. The box came well packaged and the glider components were well protected and easy to take out and assemble. There are 2 pieces - the base and the back which easily slides into and clicks into brackets. There is a zipper to keep the fabric uniform between the seat and back. The fabric is very soft but still has a nice textured weave both visually and to the touch. The seat is quite firm and sits up quite high. I’m 5’8 and when all the way back in the seat, my heels are off the floor. For rocking, I will be using the pads of my feet and will definitely need a lumbar pillow for support. The footrest easily pops out, but does need a little strength to lock back in place. When in recline, the chair does stay in that position easily. I have seen other reviewers complain about squeeking and noise after a short period of time and I hope that does not become the case with our chair. Looking at other pictures, I thought the glider would look too big in the space that we put it in for now, but I was pleasantly surprised that its footprint is a good size. I love the ivory color- so pretty ! Overall, for now, I am happy. Customer service via live chat and email had quick response time and were friendly and helpful.

Overall: We got this chair for our nursery and my first impression is it will be a comfy, go-to spot for nursing, rocking baby to sleep, reading, snuggling, etc. The fabric is soft but seems durable, the gliding action is very smooth, the back is tall enough to support your head, and chair is cushy but firm/supportive. It seems well built and good quality. I considered the automatic recline upgrade, but am glad I went with this version for the cost savings and no worry about the longevity of any electronic parts. I’m hopeful we’ll get many years out of this chair! Fit: The chair fits my 6’2” husband perfectly. I’m 5’7” and can just touch to the ground to glide. Gliding doesn’t take much though-I can do it even with my legs up (seat is wide enough that I can sit with both legs curled up, which I like!). The arm rests are a bit low, so will need a pillow/support for nursing. Manual recline: The initial reclining action is pretty abrupt to raise the footrest, but once the footrest is up you can easily lean the backrest back or up. It does take some effort to press the footrest back down, which I could see being a bit difficult immediately postpartum, but not so hard that it’s a dealbreaker for me.
