  • Recommend/ Great Customer service.
I bought these and could not use them for my purpose but this seller customer service is outstanding. I was able to keep the product even though it did not fit. My fault for not doing my research first and checking the fit, however I look forward to finding a use for them because they are solidly made and durable I doubt thee would ever get broken even under stress and high use. Be aware this particular clip is for a !" shaft diameter. My kayak paddle was too big to fit. I will likely find a small 1" fiberglass rod to use as a shallow water pole anchor and use these to hold it to the side of my kayak in the future. ... show more

  • will fit a standard paddle from academy sports, but not worth putting holes in a kayak
The plastic is moveable but doesn't give much. I have a standard paddle from Academy sports. You have to really snap the paddle in there. If I'm going to put holes in my kayak, I want to be pleased with the result. Its the thud of getting them is does resonate if you are thinking of these for fishing, as I do. What ive done is purchased some industial strength Velcro and put a 4 inch x 1.5 in strip on the both sides of the kayak, and wrapped a strip around the paddle. All you have to do is lay the paddle down and its fairly secure and then easy to remove. ... show more

  • I plan to use it to hold my emergency paddle on my boat so having it stuck on there real good is OK with me
These are made out of a very dense rubber or a softish plastic. They are very robust, probably impossible to break off the tabs. I don't know if they are UV resistant which can cause certain plastics to break with age. My paddle is 1" in diameter and they were very hard to get onto the paddle. I actually had to put the clip on the floor with the paddle on top and push them together with my foot. Maybe the plastic will become more elastic with use? Anyway, I plan to use it to hold my emergency paddle on my boat so having it stuck on there real good is OK with me. I didn't use the little bolts to install them. I used stainless steel self tapping screws to attach it to my aluminum boat. ... show more

  • clips do not fit or work like the ones we already own
We purchased these Atwood paddle clips from OJ Commerce and they arrived defective. Unlike the existing clips we already own, these were abnormally rigid and would not allow the paddle to clip in place. We requested a refund. The seller informed us that we would be charged a 30% restocking fee and required to pay for shipping costs in order to receive a refund. We are seeking alternatives to this poor product and poor customer service. Both the clips and the seller are unsatisfactory. ... show more

  • No issues
I didn't use them to hold down my paddle so I can't comment on how they work for that application but I did use them for they were perfect.
