It just happened to fit perfectly in the center dash cubby, since my SE model did not have the built in Nav. Sound quality and wireless airplay are excellent with the aux cable. Love it!

    • Easy to install but android Auto audio quality is abysmal

I'll be quick, pros and cons, lets go! Pros - Instal was easy, clearly instructed - screen is bright and the finish is mostly glare proof - interface is easy to see, large buttons, no misclicks - cable is long enough to route around to install in any car - boost up quickly enough, before I need to reverse out of my garage, my android phone is already connected Cons (long explanations) - the included remote is bad, it can adjust volume half the time, rest of the time nothing registers. The play, forward buttons work quarter of the time. This has a really bad connection to the main unit, even on fresh batteries and 2 inches away... - android auto audio quality is really bad. There's no lows, only highs, and volume is quiet. After looking online. This is a common issue with these type of android auto screen devices. The issue is the audio signal was clipped due to volume leveling. No fix for this. Even if you turn off phone call connectivity on Bluetooth thinking it would force wifi high quality audio through, still crap. Bluetooth only connection from phone without Android auto will not work, it would auto setup and connect wifi with your phone and start android auto anyways, resulting in same crappy audio quality. I gave up trying to fix this. Ill just not listen to music on this device... Skip this and use the cars native Bluetooth if you want music from your phone. Maybe it has no issues with apple car play, I wouldn't know. ... show more

Updated on Aug 14 2023: Given 5 stars for ATOTO customer service. The product still needs improvement as Bluetooth takes some time to connect. The customer service from ATOTO, specifically Hanna, is what all companies should strive for. 1. 70% reliability to connect to Android Auto feature via Bluetooth. When it does connect, it is great! I have had to power down and reestablish Bluetooth connection a few times more than I like over the last two days since it arrived. 2. I should have researched beforehand to see if it can download apps from the Playstore. It does not. That is my fault and not on the manufacturer. ... show more

I just want to let other people know this product. I don’t receive any feedback asking from company. I just want it to share my experience for this 7 inch GPS. I see screen with polarized sunglasses. So far overall is good. But I notice this unit 4 sec to connect CarPlay. And screen size little small. And very little lack compare iPad. I will buy bigger than 7 inch if exists(portable). 8 or 8.5 inches will be great option. I don’t use a lot of time. But I hope this unit will be good for long periods of time. ... show more

I think it's the best portable unit. I have a 2015 Lexus NX that has navigation and bluetooth but I wanted Android Auto which at the time it wasn't offered also I have a Samsung S23. I chose Atoto because they make head unit and have pretty good reviews. I hooked it up in about five minutes with the aux cable. Call quality is good sound is good android auto automatically connects and very easy to use. Also the screen is good doesn't feel or look cheap. Icons could be better but I'm always on android auto anyways. Don't have the backup camera so I don't know how it is. The remote is nice and they give you a lot of mounting hardware. Since I gave it a try and liked it I ended up buying another unit for my 2007 Honda Accord. Everything also worked great but this unit I installed it with the FM transmitter since the car didn't have aux jack. Again sound quality from FM transmitter was good because I was afraid of background noise coming from radio. I would definitely recommend the unit as with my experince so far has been great. ... show more

So I ordered a different brand before this one and it was okay but I missed having steering wheel controls. Since this one comes with a remote it solved that issue for me! My Prius radio replacement would be over $1000 with labor, special harnesses, ECT. This was a great alternative with very easy plug and go functionality. I used to have a dodge charger and the only thing I missed about it was the android auto head unit and even considered maybe upgrading sooner to a new vehicle. With this it has given my old Prius new life and love having all the functionality of a modern vehicle. I would definitely recommend:) ... show more

The unit in general works really well. The remote sometimes took several key presses to get it to respond. The worst part is that the microphone used for handfree calling is unusable. People on the other side can't hear anything. I tried all of the audio output configurations for phone calls and nothing improved the microphone. Had to resort to unplugging the Atoto when I had to make phone calls. ... show more
