  • Great table, worth the money.
After reading lots of reviews, my husband and I decided on purchasing this hockey table. Our children are almost 5 and 7 and did we need a table this large? Well, we had previously bought our nephews a smaller table and unfortunately they have outgrown the table before they have grown tired of the game. So, we thought get a little larger one and the kids will grow into it. Our children are tall for their age and so it has worked out. They love the table. We ordered one before Christmas and it came damaged and for as much as we spent, a bit unacceptable. Oh, and not only was the table damaged but the fan didn't work either. We reordered a table right after Christmas and the email said a 4-6 month wait....uuugh. Fortunately, that was not the case. They delivered the new table and took the old one as well. It is a great table and we look forward to many fun family times together. Worth the money. ... show more

  • MORE THAN HAPPY WE PURCHASED
Researched air hockey tables extensively before purchasing. Wanted game for three granddaughters as well as adults. Began with price range of $70 and worked my way up. This table seemed to have the most consistent positive reviews. Glad I chose it . Semi delivered and I un-crated in garage. Table is heavy but three adults managed to maneuver into house and into cellar. Took me about 45 minutes if that long to get legs, supports, and pockets on. I did think they shorted me two of the pieces that attach between each leg. Found in box later. Directions suggest 4 to 5 adults to flip. Same three that carried in (63..35...24 years old) flipped. The game is almost perfect. Puck floats as you would hope and table is sturdy and well worth the money. Only complaint and it is a minor one is, that one pocket does not fit perfect so puck hangs up and sensor may register multiple scores before player can push all the way in. Again minor but needs to be mentioned. Electronic scoring works great and love the short National anthem it plays when game starts. Game has been in use since Christmas week with fun had by all. ... show more

  • ATOMIC BLAZER 7' AIR HOCKEY TABLE
GREAT BUY!!!!!!!!!! This table is fantastic. Product arrived in perfect condition and actually before the due date. It was easy to put together and actually is very sturdy. I would highly recommend this product to anyone interested in a table in this price range. Pucks move very fast and is actually a workout in playing the game. I was hesitate after reading some of the reviews, but I have not had a problem. Instructions recommend that you wipe down with furniture polish which we do once we are finished playing and have found this keeps the movement of the puck and air flow continuous. Not one complaint here. Highly recommend. Extremely sturdy and excellent value for the money. ... show more

  • This air hockey table arrived, but not exactly as expected
First, I'll say the table is what I expected based on reading the reviews. It is fun to play, the blower makes for an active surface that keeps the pace of play very fast. The table was easy to assemble, though it is a two-person job. I can't report on the automatic scoring device as it requires 4 AA batteries that we don't yet have. It is surprising that a table that plugs into a wall socket would require batteries for the scoring device, but as long as it works I'm fine with that. Two things were disappointing about the table. First, is that one of the major pressed-wood supports had apparently broken and there was a very poor repair that looks like it was done in a hurry by an unskilled laborer. Rather than send this behemoth back, I'll reinforce the break myself, but it shows their manufacturing operation knew it was broken before they even put it into the well-packed and padded cardboard shipping container. Who does that? Very disappointing. The biggest problem was the delivery. When ordering, I was offered regular porch delivery, where one doesn't have to be there or scheduled delivery, where one does. I took the scheduled delivery, as I knew this thing was big. Turns out, it was delivered by a freight company ABF. The driver said all he had to do was get it off his truck at the street, then it was up to me to get it to my porch. The box was 7'x4' and weighted 240 pounds, though the table itself was about 160 pounds. There was no way I could have even gotten this thing to my garage by myself, much less into my house. I knew they wouldn't set the table up, but didn't think that scheduled delivery meant I needed a dolly to get it off the street. The driver was sympathetic, but said that Amazon customers often are blind-sided by the whole delivery process. Hopefully I won't get him in trouble, but the nice driver took pity on me and used his dolly to get it into my garage. ... show more

  • Construction is recklessly bad
We really wanted this to be a good product. That's why, after the first shipment arrived, we were sorely disappointed to find that the package (and the Hockey table) had been damaged, so we immediately ordered a replacement. As usual, Amazon was terrific in arranging the shipment, as well as the pickup of the first unit. But the product is so badly built that it cannot withstand the shipping, particularly in the cardboard box that is supposed to safely house a 150+ pound unit. The second one was almost cracked in half because, obviously, someone had attempted to lift one end. It won't withstand that (that's why it's shipped by pallet.). Once again, Amazon stepped up by refunding our money and sending a truck pronto. The reason the hockey table is so frail is that the material is pure crap - all MDF "wood" that crumbles almost on sight and all parts glued or stapled - not a single screw holding anything. The MDF also absorbs moisture like a sponge and will swell if you spill liquid on it or leave it exposed to any kind of weather, (as in a screened in porch.) The item works reasonably well, altho the folks who objected to a too-light puck are right. In short, the best thing about this product is that it shows how responsive Amazon is in dealing with horrible merchandise. ... show more
