I'm a type 1 diabetic, and have had surgery where I've been advised to drink a lot of protein drinks. Pretty much every other brand of "protein shakes" that I've tried taste horrible, have too many carbs, or have more protein in them that can be absorbed with one serving (and cost more or are nowhere near as good as Atkins shakes, lol). Atkins shakes are exactly what I need! They've got exactly enough protein per serving, the amount of carbohydrates are perfect, and taste amazing. I haven't had a flavor yet that I didn't like (and that's saying a lot). Vanilla, in my opinion, is one of the best tasting though. I drink Atkins shakes often, and recommend them to anyone looking for a drink to get their protein without all the extra carbs. ... show more

This is probably the best Protein Drink RTD you can buy but in my opinion the Dark Chocolate Royale is the best! I just wanted to try this flavor so that I coiuld use it at night instead of the Chocolate one. After trying this flavor and the regular Milk Chocolate flavor, I am still a solid fan of the Dark Chocolate Royale. However, as I have mentioned in one of my previous reviews, if you use more than 2 drinks, it can give you constipation Because of the ingredient which is a thickener and widely used in RTD Protein Drinks. By the way, this is the best protein drink for diabetic people because it has the right fat content which buffers the increase insulin level which increases if you use a low fat protein drink. If you want a good protein drink with lower fat, then I recommend the Premier Protein in Chocolate flavor which in my opinion is best flavor. ... show more

So so so good. I have been low carb since this past January and these shakes have really helped. I’ve lost 20lbs. Following low carb/Atkins diet. I have always struggled with keeping my weight down. These Atkins shakes and the bars have helped me to stick with the Atkins diet, which is the only diet I’ve ever had amazing results with. These are definitely the best tasting shakes I’ve ever tried!

These taste really good and satisfies a need for a snack or meal. Packaging was great, well protected and arrived early! The only reason I gave it four stars was because I found for me that if I had these everyday, they made my stomach upset due to the alcohol sugar in there...which most people can tolerate but didn't know I couldn't until it happened .... otherwise it would have been 5 stars. ... show more

As a fitness person, I didn't buy this as weight-loss help, but because I was genuinely curious about it as I do like chocolate drinks. Simply put, this is a scam. It's hilarious how they get away with calling this a "shake" while it's really just slightly-chocolate flavored water, and as a "meal replacement," this isn't going to replace anything. And it certainly doesn't satisfy your hunger. And the cost is totally out of hand - you can get a nice amount of decent food for the cost of what this 8-pack will set you back. Even just as a casual drink, these 11-ounce containers go real fast. It doesn't take long to drink 11 ounces of flavored water. You can get the same nutrients in decent food. Just eat right and exercise, and avoid snake-oil solutions like this. ... show more
