This rollerball of pain relief topical is easy to apply, and seems to offer relief to stiff muscles. This smells really good if you like mint.

This product does not come in any sort of shrink wrapped package. There is no box or “sealed for your safety” protective covering on it. The roller glides very smoothly, I did not experience any resistance against my skin. The instruction say to massage it in afterwards, so that it is fully absorbed. So I did that. I applied it to my hip that hurts all the time. The amount of pain in my hip greatly decreased. I did have to go to bed after my husband went to sleep, because he does not like the Mentholatum smell. Because I used my hand massage in and I sleep with my hands by my face, I think it also helped to clear my nose; because I could not get the smell off of my hands before I went to bed. So I noticed the smell when I first applied the product, but nothing else. I did notice that right after massaging it in, there was a cooling sensation but it faded quickly. A little while after that, I noticed the cooling sensation again, and it had increased in intensity from the original application. That cooling sensation remained for probably 30 minutes to an hour, I was doing things and wasn’t really paying attention to the time, then I went to bed. I was able to sleep better because there wasn’t as much pain as I normally have, when I roll over at night. My teenage daughter is an athlete, and she was really excited when she opened my Amazon package. I finally decided to let her try it out. I will update the review with her opinion later, if she has an experience that is greatly different from mine. ... show more

With an easy to dispense roller, this is a very convenient way to apply some muscle relief. Great for spots that you need to be dry asap. It's not my go to for aches and pains but it sits out on the counter for occasional use.

My elbow has been hurting from weight lifting for over a month and I’ve been using different products that weren’t very effective except for some temporary relief. I‘ve been using this product for 3 days now and I can tell the difference: the inflammation feeling that spikes when carrying something was reduced notably but the joint/bone pain feeling wasn’t reduced as much (just a tiny bit). Now given that I’ve been trying to treat my elbow for over a month, that’s a great improvement in a very short time, especially that I’m trying to heal my elbow without stopping going to the gym (I know, the best treatment is to rest but I want to continue working out!). The smell is not strong at all, which allowed me to use it before bed. With other products, I had to use them at least 2 hours before bed to avoid suffering the strong smell! So I find the light and soothing smell a benefit. It also doesn’t stick to the clothes. With a roll-on applicator (like a deodorant), it allows for precision application and no need to wash hands after. So far, for elbow treatment, I’m very happy with it. ... show more

This pain relief cream is easy to use, gets absorbed quickly, and doesn't make you feel too sticky or drenched up in ointment. The scent is what you'd expect from other pain relief creams. I actually like it a lot. I have noticed a steep 60% off which is the reason why I dropped a star from my review. There's not enough product in the package to justify the 20 dollar original asking price. That's just not realistic. Even with the steep discount, it's hard to justify this, over more well established and known name brands that offer much more product for the money. This would be a great product for those who don't want to get their hands dirty during application and would like something easy to take on the go, inside a backpack, gym bag, suitcase or a purse. With that in mind, i would recommend this particular product if these are some of the things you're looking for, from your pain relief ointment. ... show more
