This is fine for front/back plates. The description states it will accommodate 6" x 8" side plates. You will need a velcro extender as the flap will not close with 8" tall side plates. Otherwise a solid vest for the price.

I am 5”9 165 lbs and it fits me perfect, it is fully adjustable with Velcro. It’s is so comfortable and easy to adjust if needed. It carry’s plates front and back, I recommend foam plates, I don’t know if metal plates will work

Rig is easily adjustable for fit, though admittedly I'm an easy fit (5'8" 190, average build). Just some small adjustment out of the box and it was ready to go. Front perfectly fits any molle triple mag pouch setup. The only complaint I have, and it's a tiny one, is that getting in and out of it is not as easy as the one I was issued when I was military. This one has 2 layers of velcro in the front that need to be undone (standard front flap over the 2 side flaps) but then the side clips as well under the side flaps. There is no area to wrap these up and tuck them away without them digging in to your back. Personally, I may end up cutting the clips off. The rig fits fine with just the sides pulled tight and velcro'd. It would be nice if there was somewhere in the front or sides to stow those clips if you don't want/need to use them. ... show more

Good construction, however does not allow good waist size manipulation(fit depends on elastic). This leads to poor fitting for aerobic/stress training(more constricting and doesn’t let you breath/have high abdominal movement). Also does not fit normal military side level 4 plates. It does offer good padding for level 4 front and back plates, but the rest of the design is very “air soft” and not LE/MIL. ... show more
