I’ve been using this computer for 3 weeks and it works great! I work in healthcare so I use it mainly for emr but it lasts 11-13 hours for me on a si file charge. It feels very well made and it’s already been knocked off a table and a shelf about 3ft and 4ft high respectively and not a scratch!

This was DOA. Took it to a computer technician and he confirmed it came to me with the hardware completely dead. Wouldn’t even boot. Returned it immediately.

Have a 3rd gen also. These hardened units are survivors. My grandson really beats the heck out of the keys and screens. Has dropped it a couple times. No damage- no chips. No cracks. No breaks. It does show scratches on the external case but so far no problems with the hinges. Sturdy. Just bought a 5th gen. Faster and lighter, no fan for the cpu. Both had ssd for storage. The 5th gen comes with no pen and no internal support for the pen (no charger under the cap inside). So dont expect to pop off the cap and slide in a rechargeable pen. Unless it ships with the internal pen it wont be equipped to charge an internal pen. ... show more

    • Whers the touchscreen?????
I like the computer except one of the features that I wanted isn't there.. the touchscreen.. I have let it updated windows, checked device manager, human interface.. no touchscreen option... researched internet.. all said the same way to check.. The computer that was sent to me is a 91J6VEM.... and in settings is sez that there is no touch input The good thing, if you need it is it has a much larger SSD !! I will probably send it back bc its not what I ordered. FOLLOW UP 8/11/23 No help from the seller but I did figure it out based on information from the internet. The bios needs o be updated. You can do that from the Lenovo help site. Once the bios was up dated it started working. You may (I did not) have to go into the devise manager under Human interface and select touch screen, right click and turn it on. Again I did not. For the price it fills the need that I had.     • Cheap and effective for simple writing assignments
I turned off every unneeded feature and use it only to write with. Does the job without issue for the most part. Only problem is the space key isn't always responsive, you need to hit it dead center, if you tap the edge it wont register. Kind of a big deal that would have been a deal breaker for me had I known but too late now. Otherwise I've had no problems but again I turned off wifi and bluetooth and everything just to maximize battery life reaching 15+ hours and only use it to write novels. ... show more

Had to pick between Ipad, Galaxy tablet and or a laptop to do my in home solar presentations. I need to show my homeowners the information and i also need to run my business with programs and not just apps so the laptop that can behave like a table for presentations is perfect for me.     • Stopped working a few days after receiving it.
18dec2019 made a loud beeping noise and shut off. Screen will not turn back on, just the function lock and thinkpad lights. This is unacceptable.
