Fast, capable, loads of ram and ssd space, but this puppy will almost burn your fingers around the right hand “home row” (JKL;), and don’t even think about using it on your lap. That would literally hurt.

    • Good, but NOT a Zenbook
This is my second time leaving a review for this laptop. I dont know what happened to the first one. I'll start by saying it's a good laptop. This is my 4th Asus and I'm not disappointed in it. I've had it for about a month and have had no issues (multiple ads managers open alongside photo editing apps, and at other times, 10+ windows open.) The laptop is light and efficient. Battery power isn't exceptional, but I don't expect it to be with the way I'm using it. Plugging it in isn't a problem. My only issue is more with the listing instead of the unit itself. The listing states this is a Zenbook, but this is very much a Vivobook. Not a huge issue, the hardware is the main thing - and everything checks out - but its not a Zenbook. ... show more

Seller made a mistake, shipped the laptop with Windows 11 Home which is not same as they advertised, I asked for Windows 11 Pro upgrade, they helped me get laptop upgraded, the other thing is the laptop is ASUS Creator, but Creator is not in description, so remove one star from rating because OS mistake and AD description. Now the good part is this is laptop I looked for, I don't like latest CPU or GPU, AI chips, those consume way too much power, laptop will get really hot, I found out i7-13620H is 45 watt, Nvidia GPU is ~45 watt, this is lowest power consumption I can find for a high performance laptop. I was worried about their 8+32 GB memory upgrade, I checked memory, one is Crucial and the other is Micron, both are 4800 MHz, storage SSD is KINGSTON SNV2S/2000G 2 TB, NV2 delivers read/write speeds up to 3,500/2,800MB/s1 with lower power requirements Overall the laptop is much faster than my 6 years old laptop, hardware upgrade by seller is done right, I like this new laptop. 1/14/2025 update: There was a firmware issue that caused system unstable, I had updated the firmware by Asus tool software in the first month when I purchased this laptop because my friend told me about this kind of issues, I think you can also download the latest Asus tool from their website., after the update, I haven't seen the same issue. this issue could be either Intel or Asus engineering issue. ... show more

    • I want to like this laptop
I bought this a s a work computer. I'm a teacher, and I like that the laptop has all the connectors I need - HDMI for presentations, SD reader to download photos from video camera, ethernet connection in class if wifi isn't working. It's also plenty powerful for my purposes. However, it seems glitchy. For on, it runs quite hot, even when I'm not using it. I can close the lid, leave it for hours, and though supposedly in sleep mode- its just hot to the touch. I've started using hibernate instead. Also, I get about 4 hours battery life at most - and that is me just using Word, Adobe, Web-browsing; and in power-saving mode. No gaming or anything like that. No where near the 10 hours advertised. Finally, anytime I power on the computer for the first time, regardless of whatever my first action is, there is always a high-pitched sound - like a half second whistle from high to low. It is annoying. I've never had a computer do this before. It only happens once, and only after start up or restart. -- After 6 months, I'd like to update me review. Completely stopped working one day. Won't even turn on. Took it to a service in Taiwan, where I am now working - not under warranty because I bought it on Amazon US. There's just something wrong with this computer. Buy at your own risk... ... show more

I had to replace a 10 year old laptop and found this Asus Zenbook that has everything I need! I definitely needed the Windows 11 and to have 2TB of memory to support my art and travel business.
