Just got my new laptop in today, and I'm so happy with it! Runs great, navigates quickly, and the picture quality and sound are what I needed. I like that there are different settings for whatever you're doing (gaming, movies, music, etc.), and once you figure out how to use those built in Asus features you'll love this laptop.... especially for the price point! I'm writing this on this very same laptop 3 years later, and it's done a lot of cool stuff for me in the meantime. Don't expect it to run the latest games. And don't expect to run the games it can run on anything but Med/Low settings. And give it some room to breathe underneath, the fan isn't the best, and it vents underneath... The media could not be loaded. Its pretty decent so far. I love it at moment. Would have love to have a backlit keyboard. Otherwise from that its great for speed and much more. You should buy it !!!!

I purchased this laptop to be my laptop for my second job, as a way of avoiding "crossing streams" with my 9-5 day job. I've found that while typically useful, it has far more connectivity issues/lag than my day-to-day laptop, even when performing routine tasks. I haven't tried to play games with it, but given the difficulty it's experiencing with accessing the internet in a meaningful way, I would look elsewhere before jumping making the attempt. ... show more
