The media could not be loaded. I had to reinstall windows, I updated drivers and issues with screen when I am opening several (near to 30 tabs with Microsoft Edge and using Microsoft Office, playing videogames like Fortnite) tasks it happened again. I am going to return it if this is not fixed in few days. Updated 31-01-2025: I updated drivers again, and it seems not to happen so far. Unfortunately, I discovered at this point that if you attempt getting support by ASUS this serial number appears as a product from Best Buy, not Amazon. The media could not be loaded. I was super excited to purchase this laptop. I have always bought Asus products directly from the manufacturer but this time around I decided to go for a 3rd party vendor. This laptop version has 3rd party memory and storage upgrades from its original Asus manufacturing specs. Unfortunately, right out of the box I started having video processing and imaging issues. The entire screen, whether on the home screen or a browser screen would glitch out randomly or during video conferencing some images would randomly fade or my image was not present to the viewer. I tried updating all video drivers through Asus and TUF gaming portals, updated to the latest version of Windows 11 and all other Microsoft drivers that were available but proved to be not successful in fixing whatever issues there were. The amount of memory on this computer is excellent. The only thing is my husband was expecting the keyboard color to change with the 2tb, but that function is only on the keyboard 1tb.

I bought one and after having it for 2 weeks I got a blue screen of death. After that I bought another thinking I just got a bad one. But after having the second for 3 nights it also game me the blue screen.

    • A Bit Disappointing

Edited 4/3/25 I had to add more memory. Instead of having one memory card of 16 gigs, it had two 8-gig cards. So i had to buy two 16s to get to 32. Then I learned that Ryzen was not a good graphics option for gaming; should have chosen Nvidia. But since doubling the memory, I am now able to use Blender and Gimp at the same time without freezing. Before... A lot of people said this is great for today's gaming, but it isn't. I kept getting GPU-related (VRAM) crashes. It's just not enough. I had to lower the default graphics settings in-game to avoid the problem. In the future, I will avoid the Ryzen from AMD. I like the weight and size, the cooling features, and perks. However, I miss having colors to choose from as my keyboard backlight. This one just does white. It will be OK but I won't be able to create any content for customized avatars, which bums me out. Great price, storage capacity and RAM! But I have faced several issues so far. Laptop came with out of date windows version. When I called Asus support, they could not help me out and advised me to return the laptop. Turns out that the issue was simple and I had to upgrade from 22H2 to 24H2. Graphics performances has been flaky. There are times when my screen gets pixelated or when I use it on usb hub, the attached monitors flicker. I reinstalled drivers etc. to resolve but the issue persists. Overall the laptop works fine 80-90% of the time. But for a new laptop, that's not an acceptable percentage. I will recommend it with caution to others. ... show more
