UPDATE : ASUS PUSHED UPDATE FOR DHCP FOR VLAN! 5 star product for the price. Rewd rest for more info I was hoping this router would have VLAN features that I could use to isolate network devices. While it does have that feature, I am would need to have a DHCP server set up for those VLAN's . I have pushed commands via SSH to the router and updated the /jjfs and NVRAM but to no avail. I believe if I were to install Merlin Firmware I could get this to work. But out of the box this thing is just "ok". Do not expect the stock firmware to be able to do advanced routing and VLAN tagging. If there is an update I will try to rememebr to update this review. But for the money this thing isnt worth it. Wait till it goes on sale or buy used and make sure to flash firmware when buying used as you do not know who owned it prior. Wifi is FAST, no issues with basic functionality either. So for daily basic and beginner use this is thing rocks. You'll be disappointed if you are a professional. ... show more

Couldn’t be happier with this router. Setup was incredibly easy. It’s lightning fast, and never loses connection. I purchased mine used, but it may as well have been brand new. I’ve got multiple cameras on the exterior of my home that are a considerable ways away from the router, and I’ve yet to lose connection once. Highly recommend this router. ... show more

Works well and has a decent range. One thing which is important to know, nodes intermittently lose connection when assigned static IP addresses; regardless of being within or outside of the DHCP scope.

Just don't. Just outside the 90 day return window, this started rebooting randomly, getting worse over time until only a hard power cycle stops it... for a day or two. Then it starts again. I guess I'll go back to buying in person at a brick and mortar store where I can actually return something that's defective. ... show more

The router is great, in as-new condition, and exactly what I wanted. I sought out this model because this specific one has good features and will run Asuswrt-Merlin, which can provide fixes and features if Asus stops updating Asuswrt for this model. Very happy with this purchase.
