  • Great Motherboard & more info on the 2.5 Gb LAN.
Size: ROG B550-XE|DDR4|WIFI 6
This is an SLI compliant Motherboard. That was not in the description but on the Box in the picture. I just Built my System with it & used the Ryzen 7 5800 X CPU. I used AI tweak in the Bios to get it to 4.3 GHz & my Ram to 3200 MHz. My System is stable & not crashing. Games are running great with 2 MSI Geforce 1080 TI with 11 Gigs of Ram each in SLI Mode. I had to go into Network Cable settings & go to Qos Packet Scheduling & click on Configure & go to Speed & Duplex Settings & scroll down to see 2.5 Gb/s Full Duplex & set it for that. Now I'm getting the 300 Mb/s up & down Streams that I pay for. This Motherboard & all you get with it is really a great buy. Ryzen 5000 series CPU Ready. ... show more

  • Very nice upgrade
Size: ROG B550-XE|DDR4|WIFI 6
I previously had the strip b350-F so I was happy to snag this on Black Friday for 167$ and upgrade my rig. This motherboard is compatible with 128gb of ram, so I am thrilled about that. The last one could only handle 64 and I render 3d for games and needed a LOT more ram. ROG is a very reliable quality brand and I've used them for years. I'm running an AMD rig and love how asus makes everything and compatible. Upgrading and swapping out parts has never been easier than with an AMD based pc. Also is RNG compatible and comes with it’s own software so you can make it rainbow or something more sane like a nice solid blue (which is what I did) it also has the ability to control arng plugged in devices. My heat sink now also glows blue instead of red. This mobo comes with 2 m.2 slots but the XE which I bought, comes with a pair expansion card that allows you to add an additional 4 m.2 hard drives , for all of the hard drive space you could ever desire. ... show more

  • RUNS LINUX MINT VERY NICELY.
Size: ROG B550-XE|DDR4|WIFI 6
Had a minor with instillation, but Asus phone assisantce solved problem quickly. Runs Linux Mint 22 nicely, also very cool-no heating issues. I expect it will do as well with windows if you still use microsoft. This is a nice board. I like it. I'm very happy with it. This is the 4th computer I've built. One for windows and then three after I moved up Linux. This is the nicest board yet. I wonder what boards will lbe like when we all have to upgrade to 128 bit. ... show more

  • Hot Garbage
Size: ROG B550-XE|DDR4|WIFI 6
Asus support is useless. I bought this board and sent it to Asus when it would not boot anymore. It also killed my CPU. Support made up a story about the plastic clip on the PCIE slot being chipped and therefore it's not covered. The CPU socket was overheated and caused the damage. It had NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PCIE slot. That slot works fine and has worked fine for a long time. DO NOT BUY ASUS! They will not warranty the board. They will find any reason not to! ... show more

  • Just what I needed….eventually
Size: ROG B550-XE|DDR4|WIFI 6
The first board I was sent failed to boot up even after trying everything including a bios down grade and upgrade. Shipped it back and got a new one very easily. My first return I’ve done so I was pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately after hooking up the new board my power supply died…..not great timing but it’s older and I wanted to upgrade it next so it was understandable…fast forward a week later after having issues getting this one to power on with the new supply (user error my bad) I had it working great. Everything was up to speed my download times were better then ever….then came windows crashing……I was trying to upgrade everything so I could install windows 10 onto my drives and managed to get stuck in a repair loop instead, then while reinstalling windows my drive errored out or somthing and the motherboard would no longer read the drive even after confirming with a seperate computer it still worked… I took the drives out to check the coord and accidently broke the connection on my other drive which I’m currently replacing but other then that the board itself is great. I love the code reader on it being able to display the internal temp. They was a huge plus for me as my apartment gets real hot during the summer and spring months so I like to keep an eye on it and make sure I’m not overloading it. I am slightly sad that the lights in the top lave by the port hubs are farther into the board itself and not placed where it’s easier to see in the actual slots ... show more

  • Just What I Needed For My Build
Size: ROG B550-XE|DDR4|WIFI 6
I spent several months researching and picking out parts for a great build, and although it's hard to single out a piece of hardware from the rest, something that does stand out about this motherboard (compared to other B550 boards) is that it has 24 PCIe 4.0 lanes and not 20. Your GPU and SSD (my M.2 drive) will take 16 and 4, respectively, and while there are 3.0 lanes available for the peripherals, getting this board will help you maximize your potential. In my case, this helped future-proof my setup, as I have room for another M.2 drive in the future. ... show more

  • Best Motherboard I have Ever owned
Size: ROG B550-XE|DDR4|WIFI 6
This is by far the best motherboard I have ever owned; I have been trying to get a MSI Tomahawk x570 to work correctly for over a year with my x3d processor. No luck, firmware updates, sent it back to MSI was told it was fine. Just gave up on it and wanted to get another x570 but could not find one that was not such an investment that I should just move up to the new series of AMD processors. Fast forward to this board, it was perfect, a B550 but it had all the extras of the old MSI x570 I had and more plus it worked. I knew I should have trusted ASUS they make the best products, worked out of the box, allowed me to easily update it and allowed me to keep the build design I wanted without breaking my budget. Goodbye MSI hello ASUS forever now. ... show more
