  • Great build. Replace the case.
Color: Black Size: R7 5800X | RTX 3070
I have the 3070 and Ryzen 7 5800x. This machine ariived well packaged and well built. The problem lies in the case and the cooling, and that's about it. I'll be ordering a new case that'll be better suited for cooling as well as buying one of those fancy shmancy 240mm dual fan + CPU Liquid cooler setups to replace the generic CPU cooler that's non-RGB and less effective. I paid ~$1699 for the tower, and frankly the components in it are worth far more than this given the current crisis around GPUs, chips, etc. So spending an extra $200 to give these components proper cooling and sexy aesthetics? Sold. I'm down. My use: I am a software developer who games here n there. I use my CPU & RAM like mad, so this build immediately received a 3200hz pair of 16gb Corsair RGB Ram sticks. I had to remove a wonky metal plate that was separating the case and blocking big ram sticks from being installed. That was annoying. I'll be using this to play APEX legends as well, but frankly this is a write-off for work and I needed a powerful tower rig. You can't beat these components for the price. -Get a new case: This one has awful air flow... it's literally a single 120mm non-rgb exhaust fan -Get yourself some real RAM. 16gb was a joke -Replace the CPU cooler. Regardless of whether or not you will push the CPU, you'll wanna protect your investment with a proper cooling device. -Buy this rig and upgrade the setup...you won't find a comparable price for all these components and frankly it's the best value at this price point compared to other pre-builts. It's a beast of a machine. ... show more

  • Amazing at its price point!
Color: Black Size: R7 5800X | RTX 3070
As it is out of the box its a solid performer in a smaller tower. It looks great and has given me no issues. I bought it because I wanted a current Generation video card and I could not get it anywhere else. The price I paid for it was 400 to $600 better than comprable systems anywhere else. I don't need the Rave about how great the processor and video card are because they are already well-established performers. I added an SSD inside the psu cover and I also installed a Coolermaster ML240L AIO liquid cooler. Running all the wiring was a bit complicated and very tight. I also had to reverse the airflow in the case from front to back to back to front. The large radiator would not fit on the top of the case unless I started cutting holes in the case and mounting and externally so I took the faceplate off of the case and mounted it in the front. I can slightly hear pump whine but I no longer hear fans revving up and down every time I start gaming. About the only other thing I can think of possibly doing is increasing the memory on the system at whenever as it is I've had no issues. Between the RGB Lighting on my keyboard and mouse oh, the lighting in the case, and the lighting on the liquid cooler it really does look like a Christmas show in there. It's a great system and I'm really enjoying it. It appears that the motherboard is a Asus Prime B550M-A. UPDATE: Runs like a champ. No issues. The AIO cooler was an amazing upgrade, even with heavy gaming the fans never have to strain to keep it cool. Overall this was one of the best deals on the market at the time, and with a little bit of hands on it was even better. I am glad I am capable of technical creativity and competence. I was able to take a good system with some shortcomings and make it a great system. ... show more

  • It is not bad, but not the best it could be.
Color: Black Size: R7 5800X | RTX 3070
It is not awful, but if you intend to use it and not change anything major about it, you will need to invest in some cooling, which would have to be more fans, as this case will not fit an AIO inside (At least not without some compromises) It was very hot when I was playing on it for the time that I did (I am spliting this PC's parts and some other parts in order to build a PC for my friend and I), and the CPU and GPU rarely came close to 100% at the same time. Those parts in particular are one of the biggest selling points for this build, understandably so, and the rest is nothing great. The PSU is sufficient (around 700-750 watts), but I have never came across this model anywhere online, even when searching for it intentionally. The ram is also fine, 16GB of Hynix ram, very generic, not good or bad. The motherboard is basic and to some extent straight-up cheap, but for the price on this, you get what you pay for (In the MoBo’s case) WiFi works fine, nothing to say about that. The storage is not bad, I received a 500GB Western Digital SSDand a 1TB HDD. I forgot the brand on the HDD, but it was either WD or Toshiba, so not too bad. The case is the biggest (minor) issue I have with this PC. It is not very cooling-adaptable, and only comes with a rear case fan and CPU cooler, so it really is not good at that. Like I said before, an AIO would not fit easily, so you would either have to put more fans in, or you could TRY dynamic water cooling, which also probably won't fit. Also, I don't think dynamic water cooling is worth putting in this, as the CPU and GPU are the only things I would want in that type of PC (If dynamic would even fit/work) There are no more fan mounts either, so zip-tie I guess is your best option? With all the holes in this case, you would think some would line up to mount even 1 more fan, but they do not as far as I can tell. The only thing this case has going for it is the looks (And cable management is not complete garbage) I personally don't mind how this case looks, but that is my preference, so that is up to you. To sum up my statement, some parts of this PC are good, and some are questionably average. If this is an entry PC, it should be good with some extra cooling. If this is going to be a hardcore gaming rig, a new case with better cooling (ex. an AIO) would be a better START. To be completely honest, the cooling is the largest issue I have with this PC. Sure, some of it is cheap. Sure, it is sort-of a bottle neck on the CPU/GPU. But for a beginner PC, or a moderate gaming rig, it should get the job done.
