Description

Too good not to pass up.
Works good, Great Value for the Money, the sized is about right in my Dell 5820, I had to update the BIOS to 2.50 to make it work correctly, Windows Sees it and the design looks to be perfect. Others have had issues with the Heat sink I need to see if it actually works. Prices of NVME are way to high so I have some smaller sized drives, going to make the most of what I have.

Fast SSD adapter
I have two of these in different Asus motherboards. They work great for my use (non) raid. I did have to make some changes to the bios for the drives to be recognized. Thank info can be found in YouTube.

It depends on your motherboard
Unfortunately I just found out that my motherboard only supports x8x4x4 bifurcation, which means the 2nd slot won't work. So make sure you check beforehand. I take off a star because the fans are very loud and stuck at full speed!

Works awesome! As long as your BIOS supports PCIe x16 Bifurcation, it'll support this card. Not all BIOS will support boot from NVMe though. In some cases you can't update or inject the VVMe driver into the BIOS, but check before you buy. I use these in storage servers for catching devices and it works great! (Images attached) I also use these in my workstations, OS/boot, Data/Games (pair, striped), Cache/Downloads/Virtual Memory. Never disappointed.

It does what is claims to
Works great for adding extra NVMe drives to my rig. You do need to ensure though that your motherboard supports PCIe bifurcation before using. Fan on it is quiet, and does the job of keeping the drives cool. Easy to install drives in to, and the profile of it is slim enough to not interfere with anything in the case. Extremely reasonably priced for what it does and the features it has.

nice to have but issues too
so will absolutely not have enough hardware included to populate all 4 slots (mounting screws and spacers) for the price i paid i would expect full hardware with spares additionally no straight forward process to get this to work as it refuses to see more than one card at a time unless i want to disable my GPU which is stupid so i am stuck with one card so i had to get a 4tb card to go into it aside from that issue the speed is solid when its finally made functional

Solid device for what it is. Ensure your board lets you do bifurcation.
I found this to work well/perfectly fine with a board that supports automatic detection and bifurcation of PCI lanes, but didn't try it on a system with manual bifurcation settings in BIOS. Should be fine, I would imagine. Used two, three and four NVMe M.2 SSDs individually and in (Linux software mdadm) RAID 1 and 10, but needed PCIe gen 4 compatibility with better support. Might have worked fine for gen 4. Also, gen 4 card is really long. Both v2 and gen 4 have a big heatsink and seem well built. I like it is a "dumb" card to keep things simple and compatible (provided your motherboard supports PCI lane bifurcation.) I never run Windows if I can help it and don't use any on-board RAID or anything, so this may not work as well for everyone's needs. Would have gave it five stars for what it is, but the fan is pretty small and will probably need better cooling to prevent NVMe SSDs from thermal throttling.
