  • The BEST GPU available for a DELL Optiplex MiniTower PC!
Style: Dual Fans Size: RTX3050|OC|6G
So, you bought yourself a Dell Optiplex MT PC, any you have a 260 or 290W Power Supply with no GPU power plug available. Your options are a new AMD RX 6400 with 4GB or several older GPUs. Worse, you have your heart set on playing Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered! Now, you COULD do that with the RX 6400, but, let me tell you, it's a painful experience. Enter the NVidia RTX 3050 6GB. The blackist of the black sheep in the NVidia line-up, the RTX 3050 is the best GPU you can put inside that Minitower case without some sort of Frankenstein Power Supply modification. While overall, it's performance is slightly better than the RX 6400, in terms of ESOR, it's phenominal. It does this for slightly more money (I bought mine on sale/MSRP), with less noise than the RX 6400. It fits inside the case without any adjustment or modification. In addition, the 6GB capacity of the GPU means that ESOR when it boots isn't going to nag you telling you the minimum required memory for the game is 6GB! Overall, I am extremely pleased with the purchase. For the money, for my gaming needs and desires, this GPU allows me to slide into a slightly better performance bracket without a major outlay of funds for not only a GPU but a new power supply. So, again, if you have a Optiplex MT and want the best GPU you can buy without buying a new power supply along with it, this is the GPU to buy. ... show more

  • Fantastic Performance & Cooling—A Gamer’s Dream
Style: Dual Fans Size: RTX3050|OC|8G
The ASUS Dual NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 OC Edition has completely exceeded my expectations. Whether gaming, streaming, or editing, this GPU delivers smooth, responsive performance that takes visuals to the next level. The 8GB GDDR6 memory ensures that even demanding games run seamlessly, while the PCIe 4.0 interface provides lightning-fast data transfer. The Axial-tech fan design is a game-changer—keeping the card cool even under intense loads, and the 0dB technology makes for a whisper-quiet experience during lighter workloads. The HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4a provide versatility for high-resolution monitors, and the steel bracket adds durability that gives me peace of mind. ASUS has nailed the balance of power, efficiency, and reliability in this card. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly RTX 30-series GPU with excellent performance, this one is a solid choice. Highly recommended for gamers and creators alike. ... show more

  • Just what I needed
Style: Dual Fans Size: RTX3050|OC|6G
I built my computer a few years ago with an intel 11400 CPU, and I was just using the integrated graphics. But the other day I tried to play a Windows game that would barely play, so I decided to finally get a GPU. I got the 3050 6GB OC (overclock) edition. It's nice that the 6GB models do not require a power connection to the power supply. They are just powered by the PCI slot, so that's nice it saves a little work. A guy on here had a review talking about needing an 8 pin connector, but I later realized he had purchased the 8 GB card, and not a 6GB card. Installation was very easy. Took off plastic on outside face and then plastic on the metal ports. Removed the plastic plug cover for the HDMI port, I left the other 2 port plugs in there. Before installing into motherboard there's a plastic cover to remove on the GPU's connector strip where you plug it into the motherboard. Then just remove 2 of the little strip panels on your computer's case, and use the 2 screws to secure the GPU. Once I got the computer running I went to Nvidia.com to download the driver and app (comes in one download if you select that). They give you the option of using either a "gaming driver" or "studio driver". Even though I'll play some games I chose to use the studio driver, it seems a little more stable and I'll also be using creativity/productivity apps. I am overall happy with this GPU so far, I think it will fit my needs and it's budget friendly. I was surprised there are not really any good GPU options around $100 new. For example a GPU about half as good as this for $100, it doesn't exist. The GPUs that are around $100 new aren't even worth getting for example the GT 1030. I seen a lot of guys online saying this 3050 isn't as good as the 28% better AMD 6600 card for $200. But none of them say or keep in mind that Nvidia cards are generally better for creative software programs, and even AI stuff I hear. While the AMD card might give you a little more bang for the buck for gaming, that's about its only advantage. So for me I'm choosing Nvidia all day since I'm not only playing games with my GPU. ... show more

  • Currently running in an x4 pcie slot... An x4.... Pcie... 3.0 😅
Style: Low Profile Size: RTX3050|OC|6G
Soooo I got an optiplex 7070 on eBay for ~80 shipped, no SSD. Got a SSD for 15$ and a USB for windows11 install for $5? The problem becomes that the card is situated in a way that the fans blow at the power supply in the sff, and on TOP of that, the card/motherboard have a compatibility/clearance issue for these dell optiplex sff's, the only way to fit this card is in the x4 slot. This is already a pcie 3.0, so bandwidth drop is probably going to be killer..(on me, it's my first card, for my first "build" that's not even going to live in my house.) That said, it works great, loaded up the Minecraft world that I was getting ~110 fps with some drops prior to install, was getting around 250+ fps with the graphics card, on java, fancy graphics, think 15 chunk? Render distance. This pc will probably be used to play game pass PC games, modded Minecraft, probably some fortnite festival/clone hero or whatever the PC game is, my brother is into all that rhythm game stuff. Specs: Dell optiplex 7070 sff Intel i5-9500 This graphics card, low profile. 8gb ram 250 GB nvme m.2 (sn550 wd) SSD Stock mobo, cooler, PSU, case.. so far. 😅 I may recase the "build" to get access to that x16 slot (I believe this is an x8 4.0 card, running currently at x4 3.0) so even just a little more bandwidth would most certainly have some gains to offer. So far so good, don't buy this one if you have an optiplex, unless you are certain your x16 slot is on the top. ... show more
