I got these hearing enhancers for my 78 year old mom. She is unable to deal with most tech due to vision and dexterity issues. However, she actually likes these aids and is able to use them by herself most of the time. She only puts one in and then she can watch TV or hear me speak at normal levels. It is a big relief for both of us. Only downside is that if you handle or barely touch them, they squeal quite a bit. Sound clarity a tad fuzzy but they do the job! And for the price, simplicity and self-charging case...they are worth getting. ... show more

I agree with other reviews that the lowest volume setting is quite loud. Otherwise I think for the price if you have significant hearing loss, they are easy to use and operate. Wife says they look like I have a big wad of gum in each ear. haha

    • Too hard to adjust
It was comfortable but way too loud even on level one. Too hard to know what level it is set on. Too easy to tap and change levels without wanting to. Too easy to get feedback when putting it in. Will be returning these.

I was worried about the quality considering I’ve looked at many hearing aids that were significantly more expensive, but they are really nice quality that have worked flawlessly. I've been wearing hearing aids for many years. Each time I had to get new ones I would go to the audiologist. (I had tried various "otc" hearing devices, but none were effective for my degree of hearing loss.) I would have gone to the audiologist this time, too, but the old hearing aids failed during the quarantine period, so I thought I'd try Amazon. Best move ever! I got hearing aids that I loved--every bit as good as the high-priced hearing aids. (They didn't have all the bells and whistles, but the bells and whistles had long ago fallen to disuse, anyway.) ... show more

    • A serious alternative to expensive hearing aids
Though I don't know if there are safety protocols that prevent hearing damage (that more conventional and expensive ones use) these seem to be good enough for people who cannot afford the more expensive alternative. A little less comfortable than most regular ones though.

My son bought in December one dropped from the ear ( hard to keep in) thought it was my fault. I ordered a replacement they are garbage! I would not recommend to anyone

    • They really work!
I was watching a news cast from across the room. Had to tell my wife to turn volume up. Inserted these hearing aids and then had her turn the volume WAY down since it was crystal clear. They really do amplify! As all "in the ear aids" they have to have the battery in the unit and therefore they are very obvious for anyone to see them. Behind the ear aids can hide the battery behind the ear lobe but are a nuisance to deal with. My solution will be to wear these around the house with only my wife present and get a rechargeable set of behind the ear aids for going out. ... show more
