We use these daily for everything from cutting up fruits for the kids to prepping full meals, and they’ve performed exactly how you’d want a good set of knives to. First thing you notice is how sharp they are right out of the box. No “break-in period” just clean, precise cuts from day one. Whether it’s vegetables, meat, or something more delicate, they slice through without tearing or needing extra pressure, which makes prep work quicker and honestly a lot more enjoyable. The handles are comfortable to hold and feel well-balanced, so you’re not fighting the knife while you’re using it. Even during longer prep sessions, they don’t feel awkward or tiring in your hand and the weight is just right. Cleanup is simple too. Even though they’re labeled dishwasher safe, we stick to washing our knives by hand in the sink, and these clean up easily with just a quick rinse and wipe. The non-stick coating really helps keep food from clinging on. The storage block is another nice touch. It keeps everything organized, dries well, and doesn’t take up a ton of space. It also just looks good sitting on the counter with the wood grain handles, which is a bonus. Overall, this set provides the quality, performance, and everyday practicality one needs in the kitchen. The Astercook 6‑Piece Knife Set includes all the essential knives you need for everyday kitchen tasks—especially the versatile 7" kitchen knife, plus a chef’s knife, utility knife, paring knife, and kitchen scissors. Each knife feels substantial, well‑balanced, and very sharp, with comfortable wood‑grain handles that make them easy to work with. The khaki knife block looks nice, but since it isn’t slanted, it can be a bit awkward when removing or replacing the knives. I’d personally use the included knife protector sleeves instead of the block and store them in a drawer. Even though I don’t love the block, the set itself is still excellent because it’s complete, practical, and offers great value for the price. They list the set as dishwasher safe, but—as with any quality knives—hand washing is definitely best to keep them in great condition, particularly since the handles are crafted of wood. The set would make an excellent gift for someone just starting out in their own kitchen. Overall, a sharp, reliable, and well-rounded knife set that’s great for everyday cooking.

This knife set is very affordable so I was weary of the quality. However, when they arrived I was pleasantly surprised. Each knife is light but feels strong and sturdy. The handles feel nice in your hand and there's a few different sizes of knives so you can find the perfect one for your needs. The blades are SHARP, making cutting and slicing a breeze. I like that a pair of kitchen shears are included in the set along with a block for storage. The whole thing looks nice enough to just leave out on your counter as the colors are neutral and compliment any decor. It does say they are dishwasher safe but I prefer to just hand wash to preserve the finish. I have not tried to put them in the dishwasher so I can't tell you if they will actually be ok in there. This is truly a great value for everything that you get. I highly recommend.

I picked up this 6-piece khaki knife set to replace some older, duller blades in the kitchen. The high carbon stainless steel is impressively sharp right out of the box, making it easy to slice through vegetables and meats with very little effort. The wood grain handles have a great aesthetic that matches the modern look of the kitchen, and they feel comfortable and secure in my hand during prep work. The matching khaki block is a nice touch for keeping the counters looking organized and coordinated. I especially appreciate that these are labeled as dishwasher safe, which saves a lot of time on cleanup after a big meal. It is a solid, functional set that covers all the basics for daily cooking while looking much more expensive than it actually is.

It may be a tad misleading to label the Astercook Knife Set as having 6 pieces as one is actually the knife block. So for clarify, you will receive 4 knives, a pair of scissors, and a slotted knife block. The scissors are better than average and work well for cutting herbs or opening packages. All of the knives are sharp and fairly balanced, the handles are overall comfortable to grasp, though the pairing knife and chef's knife are both longer than those I typically use. That attribute is not a problem, but something to note. I especially life the big chopping knife, which makes prep of vegetables easy. The long slicing knife makes quick work of food, as well. The color of the handles, block, and blades is a decidedly neutral biege, something I had not encounterd before but a a pleasing color scheme that does not call attention to itself. The cleverly made storage block allows vertical storage of the implements, has a small footprint, and is lighweight. So far, I'm pleased with these knives and they could serve as everyday knives in a small kitchen or apartment. One could even take them on a vacation as back up in case the condo or cabin does not have decent cuttlery. Though these will not supplant the fuller set of Victorinox knives, I keep reaching for an Astercook and hope this set proves durable, resistant to chipping, and responsive to sharpening. Finally, for those who care about such things, this knife set was not swaddled in styrofoam or exceissive plastic packaging. That matters to me as too many items sold by Amazon are shipped with huge amounts of waste that is not needed and apparently not monitored by Amazon.
